“A Good selection for a nice sized room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

I stayed in the area to attend a job fair. The hotel was recommended by the job fair coordinator. The hotel did offer me a fair price. After driving 14 hours I entered Baton Rouge around 10pm. The main road that you take to this hotel had some construction work. It made it hard to spot the short road that is the enterence to Mall Dr and it does not have very good signs, add on that is now dark it makes it very hard to find. The hotel is tucked back off of Mall Dr. I drove up and back a handful of times before I finally spotted the short road. On a whim I decided to try it and that is where I found the hotel. The hotel or town need to make this something easier for out of towners. Once at the hotel the check in was quick and easy. I had a room on the ground floor. The room was huge and clean. The room has a full kitchen. It has nice comfy bed, a good work space, and a swivel tv to watch from anywhere in bed. The only problem we encountered was a large palmetto bug early one morning in the bathroom. The hotel offeres a small computer in there sign in/breakfast area. The computer was in use one day, but the staff stated the guests can use the hotel next door. I stayed at the hotel for three days and it was overall a nice stay!

“Too much room for 1 person.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2010

This was a really nice, newer, spacious hotel. The service was great upon entering, and they even had an evening reception with hors d'ouvres and cocktails. The complimentary breakfast was also robust, with waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and all the usual cold cereals, yogurts & fruits you'd find in a typical free breakfast.

My only complaint is it didn't seem to be near anything. It was situated about 20 minutes away from our meeting site, which was next door to the airport. The traffic in Baton Rouge (including traffic lights) is a little unbearable during rush hour, so this may have contributed to a lot of our lengthy commute.

“Nice, Reasonable, Includes Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2010

We stayed one night in Baton Rouge and I thought I booked the Courtyard Marriott but actually booked the Residence Inn. Both facilities were very nice- contemporary and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I've never stayed in a Residence Inn but it was like a small apartment and would especially be great if you were traveling with a baby, family, or staying more than one night. The bed was comfortable but I think it was only a full size bed (I sleep in a queen and it seemed a bit small.)
Although the location is great as it is right off the I-10 and near an abundance of restaurants it is a bit tricky to get to. Our GPS took us in a big circle around the backside when you could turn right in from the shopping center (the left turn across from the Chilis).

“Very clean...terrific staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2010

Loved our stay at the Residence Inn in Baton Rouge...only problem was actually getting to the hotel from the Interstate. The traffic patterns were strange, and we had to go too far south and then loop our way back into the hotel. Our room was immaculate and staff was friendly and helpful. The full, hot breakfast was tasty, and the beds were wonderful. My only complaint was that our unit backed up to the Interstate and was noisy at times, but maybe we had gotten a better rate because of our room location.

“Like a mini-apartment, and my doggies were allowed to come.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2009

I LOVED this hotel. My best friend who lives in the area recommended this hotel to us. It is in a very nice part of Baton Rouge. My only criticism would be the air conditioning, which was very loud each time it turned on. They need to sound proof the area that houses their A/C. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay. The room was spacious and resembled a studio apartment. Beautiful interior! We loved the stocked kitchen and the fact that we were able to buy groceries and eat in every night. The pool was nice too! An added bonus was that we were able to bring our two small doggies for a extra small fee. I definitely would recommend this hotel to others.
