My girlfriend is from Baton Rouge, so we visit BR at least once every year, and we always stay at this hotel. Parking, breakfast, and internet access are all provided at no additional charge; the gym is equipped fairly well for our short stays of 2-3 days at a time, and we've never had any problem of any kind on any of our stays. There is no wow factor, but it serves our needs just fine, and is a very comfortable option. There is a gas station within waling distance, and sevreal eateries and restaurants within a short drive. I recommend the Copeland's restaurant whoch si less than a mile away. The only material drawbacks are that there is no refrigerator in the room, and the indoor pool is on the first floor of the hotel, which sometimes results in the hallway carpet being wet/damp. Depending on the location of your room, the carpet in the room may also be wet/damp as the moisture spreads; for this reason I always request an upper floor.
