I remember this hotel being worse the last time we stayed, one year ago. So I'm glad for any improvements. However, the price for a Super 8 and the rooms and beds for comfort leave a bit to be reconciled. There are limited options so it seems like Super 8 would want to leave a lasting and positive impression on all guests.

The mattresses are worn out. I've never slept on such a bad mattress. It is ridiculous that they don't replace their mattresses. They should lose their Super 8 franchise.

We stayed at Super 8 while we were in Whitesburg, KY this fall while visting relatives in KY. My family found this hotel very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean, not fancy but comfortable. I love the view of the creek. The hotel is right next to Wendy's and a Grocery Store. The hotel usually has free coffee, orange juice, milk, bagels, and doghnuts in the mornings.
My family loves to stay at this Hotel !!!!!!!! We will be staying here again this year.

We absolutely loved this hotel! I was 7mo. pregnant and all cramped up from many miles of riding/driving, and we had arrived around 9-10 pm. My husband has family only about 20 miles away, which was our destination, but we wanted to stay the night somewhere so that we would be refreshed in the morning. We had no reservation, so my husband had me and our 2 year old daughter wait in the car while he went in to inquire about a room. They gave us the best room!! I think it was the honeymoon suite! Jauquzzi tub, very spacious room with a king bed, big screen tv and microwave, comfy couch and coffee table, and my favorite : windows that really open!! It was so wonderful to hear the night sounds up there in the mountains. I think they opened to the preserve behind the hotel. The bed was sooo comfortable, and at 7 mo. pregnant, I usually had a hard time getting comfortable anywhere. Carpets were clean, tub and bathroom were immaculate (we usually want to re-clean these items in most hotels for the sake of our children), bed linens smelled fresh, everything was much better than we expected. We are going to go back soon, and will definitely reserve with this Super 8.
