Visited Richmond, KY for a family wedding and stayed here 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable with a king bed, couch, refrigerator, microwave etc. Breakfast was good, especially the woman who worked there helping everybody get their food. There was a variety of hot and cold options. The indoor pool area and hot tub were pleasant, but that's where our weird incident happened.

My husband and I were sitting in the hot tub, apparently past "closing time". An employee came in to tell us it was closed, so we said ok, got out and walked towards the table to get our towels and personal belongings. Before we could reach the table, the employee rushed over to the wall on the other side and turned off all the lights, plunging us into the dark! When I said I can't see to get out, she refused to turn the lights back on. My husband got very agitated and yelled, but I told him to calm down and just help me out of there so I didn't fall into the pool in the dark and get hurt. I am very nearsighted and can manage ok in the light, but can't see at all in the dark without my glasses. I didn't expect to have to navigate the pool area in the dark. I've never experienced such a ridiculous and reckless stunt at a hotel.

That strange event seemed to be a freak thing, because all of the other employees were good, breakfast was good, the room was clean, and a reasonable price. It was also conveniently located and easy to find off the highway.

This is an older hotel, looks to be an old Holiday Inn. In its hay day it was probably one of the nicest in town but showing some age now. The room was clean and the bed was great, plenty of pillows and a very convenient location as well a great price made this a no brainer. The breakfast was OK with some items on a steam table and a waffle maker (not as bad as a Super 8 but not as good as a Holiday Express). You could spend $25 to $40 just down the road for a newer hotel but this place was fine for us. Would stay here again.

We wanted a hotel with an indoor pool and good breakfast and found a winner! The rooms were not fancy, but they were nice with a refrigerator and microwave. The pool was large and very nice -- with a great view of the sunset! The breakfast had great variety and the hot dishes even had someone there to serve. The lady in charge of breakfast was very friendly and worked hard to keep it clean and filled.

We had a good trip to richmond,ky. I had a shooting sports compition. We stayed at best western because their pool and hot tub was awsome. The room service was good. The trip took us 5 hrs and 30 mins.
