I had to go to Richmond on short notice, my daughter had burned up her car. Unfortunately, it was Homecoming weekend. The manager at Quality Quarters Inn doubled his rates, from a high season base, even though on the phone the day before, he had not mentioned the increase in price. I had to stay in the area 3 days, and he would not even cut me a break on Sunday, after most folks had left town. I attempted to explain my situation, and basically, it was too bad. My daughter is a freshman at EKU, and his attitude has cost him 10 to 15 days a year, for the next 4 years. Greedy & shortsighted. I have stayed at 2 other properties in Richmond, and been treated much better.
