I'd rate this as one of the worst places I've ever stayed. The room smelled so badly of mildew that my clothes smelled mildewy the following day. The walls were dirty with hand prints, the furnishings were dusty and unclean, the bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and I believe they have bedbugs or something that bites sleeping occupants during the night.
Also the bedding had what appeared to be bloodstains...only one of four pillows had a clean enough case to put my head on. I cannot comment on the shower facilities as I had no interest in setting foot in the grimy tub.
The one redeeming feature was the air conditioner; the room was cool in minutes.
Oh, and the battery in the smoke detector was failing, so it chirped every 15 minutes until I took it off the wall and removed the battery. Hopefully staff has batteries on hand, but I would suspect the next occupant will be greeted with a chirping smoke detector as well.
Also, I was told there were "no rooms available" but he could find me "something." Judging by the lack of cars in the lot and the lateness of the hour, I suspect there were many more rooms available than I was led to believe, for whatever reason. I should have taken that as a sign and bolted from the disheveled and neglected lobby and made for a Motel 6 or Super 8.
