We traveled here to visit friends in a nearby town. The map told us the hotel was on the left, but it was actually on the right. There are two other brand new hotels right next door, a Huddle House restaurant, and a convenience store. It is set back off the main road a bit so you don't hear the traffic. There is some construction around the newer hotels, and you have to U-turn if you need to go south out of the parking lot. However, we did not hear any construction noise and there was a designated U-turn access.
The front lobby is small but cozy. It was quite cold out and they had a fire going in the fireplace. A nice welcome! The front desk clerks were very polite and knowledgable. We had trouble with our credit card, and they do not take cash so be prepared for that. We got it worked out and made our way to the room.
The breakfast area was roomy and clean. They had microwave popcorn packets for you to enjoy any time. We went to a restaurant for breakfast with our friends, but they had hot breakfast items such as ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy. My son is a very hungry teenager and could not resist the cinnamon rolls and muffins. They were really good!
The hallway to the room was super clean and easy to navigate. The room smelled fresh and clean when you opened the door. Plenty of lighting throughout. We had the two Queen beds. TV is a large flat screen and had plenty of channel choices. Furniture is in excellent shape. Everything looked almost new. Fridge and microwave were spotless. Bathroom was super clean--one of the absolute best I have ever seen. Granite countertops were large enough for all four of us to put our items. There was a built-in shelf unit that held all the cups and toiletries normally provided, so they stayed out of our way while we used the sink and counter. Tub and toilet look new and spotless. Towels were awesome!!! Very thick and soft. Definitely the best ever!
Now, the only bad part--the beds. They were hard as rocks. No kidding--if you need a soft bed, bring your own!! I am a side sleeper and was forced to sleep on my back due to the hardness of the mattress. Sheets and blankets were clean and fresh and there were four pillows-two soft and two firm-on each bed.
I took the kids-age 14 and 10-to the pool. It is not super large, but very very clean and they had lots of big soft towels. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was no one else in the pool the whole time we were there.
I am quite picky about cleanliness when it comes to hotels, and this one ranks at the top of my list. My whole family enjoyed the stay with the exception of the beds.
