“Good value for 1 night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My family of four stayed for one night. The room was clean but did have a perfume smell which initially made you think it was trying to cover something up. The beds were small, would have liked double queens but for 51.00 with tax, you couldn't pass it up. If I was going to be staying longer than 1 night and was going to hang out in the room more than just to sleep I probably would pick a different hotel and spend a little extra but if you are looking for a very good price hotel for 1 night then this is your place. The front desk was nice and the waffles at breakfest were good too.

“Good Value for $”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Would have given a 5 except there is no elevator at this two story property. Easy check-in, very clean room, best price in the area. Convenient (walking distance) to more than one restaurant with coupons at desk. Standard breakfast in clean inviting area.

Room Tip: First floor if you don't want to carry luggage upstairs.

“Clean, comfortable and friendly!”

Was looking for a decent place to stay that was pet friendly and reasonably priced - checked on line and found this place had more favorable reviews than not, so decided to give it a try...definitely glad we did! Decor was a little dated but well cared for - room was nice and clean...housekeeping takes pride in their work for sure. Nice place, nice people, nice price. Told the girl at the desk that we will stay here again our next trip.

“Just ok...”

I stayed at 3 Drury hotels within a 7 day span - thought we'd save a few $ by staying at the Pear Tree by Drury - all was just ok - rooms were very clean & big - but old fashioned. Service at the other 2 Drury's we stayed at was fantastic...this one? non existent - honestly never saw even 1 employee (my husband checked us in)

Breakfast area has 3 steps to get to - only 1 two seater table is accessible (they have numerous handicapped rooms)...we got that table (a baby in a stroller and me in a leg cast) a few minutes later an elderly woman in a wheelchair came in with her family. We gave up the table and decided to eat breakfast elsewhere - it was something we chose to do...so not hotels fault...but just an example of why they need a few more accessible tables (during all this no one was ever at the front desk which is 20feet away)

We agreed we'd pay the extra to stay at the Drury Inn next time (worth it for the mini fridge alone!)

“Great Hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

I stayed at the Paducah Drury Pear Tree Inn on Monday night, Oct 17. The more Drury Inns I stay at, the more impressed I am with the chain. I was taking a long solo driving trip, and needed a cheap, decent place to stay for the night. I have had difficulty in the past finding such a place on this route. For the same price I paid at this hotel, I have stayed in some real dumps! However, this was not one of them. I called another Drury Inn in Paducah, but they only had one room left, and it was pretty expensive. They then connected me to the Pear Tree Inn. I told the woman that I wanted the cheapest room they had available, which happened to a room with a king sized bed. She asked me where I was on the road, and since I was close, she told me that she would leave the reservation up on the screen until I arrived. When I got there, my reservation was ready, and she checked me in quickly and courteously. What great service!
The room was sizable, clean and quiet. Even though the hotel was right off the Interstate, I was not bothered by road noise at all. My room even faced the Interstate! The bathroom was fairly large, and the sink was in the same room as the toilet and shower, which I like. The bed was very comfortable, and I found a pillow that was just right for me among a large selection of pillows on the bed. Best of all, they didn't blink an eye when I told them I had my dog with me. They are very pet-friendly, and don't charge extra for pets.
I ate breakfast the following morning. Although they didn't provide the full breakfast, they did offer a variety of cereals, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit, as well as hot coffee. It was just right for me!
I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone. I spent a comfortable night with my trusty dog. I have stayed in a few other Drury hotels, and have found them to be just as comfortable, clean, convenient and welcoming. This one ranks right up there. I have it saved on my Garmin, and will definitely stay there again on my way through.

Room Tip: I stayed on the second floor of this two-story hotel. Even though I am older, I am able to climb st...
