We stayed one night. checked in late evening around 9:30 PM or so and checked out at 7am. The room was just disgusting. It was supposed to be a recently "converted" room from smoking to non-smoking. It was not. The room reeked of Cigarette smoke, and it was filthy, there were grotesque stains on the beds. The linens were filthy as was the carpet which felt sticky to walk on. The chair looked like it came from a crime scene, AC gurled and spit out water. Knob in shower broken, but we got cold water then scalding water with no warning, so that was nice. We itched all night long and my wife woke up with what looked like bites on her arms and side. We can only pray it was not lice, scabies or bed bugs. We wanted to change rooms, but surprise there were none. We wanted to leave, but surprise there are NO refunds!!! Almost 60.00 for this and it was a total rip off. We reported the dangerous situation of electrical items to the clerk, ( the only available plug was falling out of the wall) as well as the large hole in the bathroom ceiling. We asked for a refund or discount due to the misrepresentation of the room as nonsmoking/ and the filth, but were refused. My wife now has a rash from the bites she got. When googling the Motel chain to reach the Corporate office, we found literally hundreds and hundreds of customer stories, complaints and damages by this Company many right there in Kentucky where we were. Why do States allow this Motel Chain to operate like this?
