My husband booked this hotel through Venere.com, but before our stay, I went to Tripadvisor to see the reviews. They were horrible reviews. I was able to cancel our reservations and book somewhere else. Thank you Tripadvisor for saving us. I also suggested to the people at Venere.com that they seriously decide if they want to continue representing that particular hotel.

We stayed at this Days Inn during a big baseball tournament weekend and it was completely booked. The staff went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed. Were the beds comfortable? No. But we got what we paid for. A clean room, convienent to where we needed to be with a free breakfast at an outdoor pool for a very good price. (But I can't say enough about the friendly staff. Super nice and helpful!!)

It was the second worst hotel experience Ive had! I usually love Days Inn b/c they are clean,cheap, nice hotels! The room was not very clean. There was a bad odor which I finally figured for old pee in and around the bathroom. There was not hot water for showers....luke warm. The pool had food particles in it from a large group of little league players...no supervision from staff what so ever at pool. There were chairs,coolers,ect in the pool.Another lady then informed me a small child pooped in the pool and no one had shocked the pool. When we left people were still swimming!
The WiFi did not work at all. 3 hours into our stay we were getting bitten by fleas so we left and went to a near by Hampton. The room was 90$ and the manager offered to charge us 67$ (she was speaking by phone through a very nice,worried front desk clerk). I stated I did not want charged at all for the nightmare experience. It was 10 at night and I had to load my small children up to leave. Manager than lowered to 45$! I am still shocked!

I went to Owensboro for the first time late June 2011 to visit my daughter. Due to the Blue Grass Festival just about everything was booked. Days Inn was not on my list of choices but I am very pleased that circumstances had me book there for my 5 nights. The room was good size, very clean, staff very helpful and friendly and it had all the amenities I could possibly need. I had expected so much less and got so much more. Don't pass this one up.
