“Clean is the only good thing I can say”

When we got to our room it was HOT. The air was not on and it was 100 degrees that day. We went to dinner and did a little shopping. When we returned 3 hours later it was still hot and didn't cool off until around 3 AM. I told the front desk that it was very hot and that the air was was not working in the hallway either. The hotel was quite run down but seemed very clean. It is is a good location if you need to be near Lexington but not in the city. The pool area was nice. The breakfast area was extremely small and the breakfast was typical hotel fare. I don't think I will return.

Thank you for your review. We truly appreciate you staying with us. Holiday Inn Express Nicholasville is about to undergo a major renovation in the coming months to enhance our guest's experience. I apologize for the problems you had with your AC unit. Sometimes when it's that hot outside our in-room AC units are working so hard to keep the room cool that it just can't keep up. I understand that doesn't necessarily help the situation but I wanted you to know the reason for the issue. We work very hard to keep our hotel clean and I appreciate you recognizing that. We know our hotel is a bit dated, that's why we're about to undergo a 1.5 million dollar renovation. I hope you will stay with us again in the future so we can show you what exactly we are capable of. Thanks again for staying with us! Take care!

“Excellent Staff, clean rooms”

My husband has had to "live" in this hotel for 3-4 nights each week for a year. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and everything is very clean and neat! I highly recommend the Priority Club Rewards Club--earn free nights pretty quickly :-) Good value!!

I have been able to talk with him on multiple occasions, mostly just to thank him but to get to know him as well. We consider our long-term guests family and we hope they feel the same. “Horrible; not worth the money; in desperate need of renovation”

We booked 3 non smoking rooms for business and they gave us three smoking rooms. The reception didn't offer any solution and really didn't seem to care at all. The air conditioner is full of dirt and bubbling water. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. The pool water is more cloudy than a urinal at a sports game. The place is extremely dirty.....all this for $120/night. I would NOT recommend staying here at all.

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry we were unable to accommodate your non-smoking request. Please know we NEVER change a guest's room type without their permission, especially smoking preference. If a smoking room was booked, that's what was given. There are situations where you can book online for a "Standard Room" which does not guarantee a specific bed type or smoking preference. It does guarantee that you have a room at our hotel. Then on the day of arrival we assign those reservations to the best available room type. While we try our best to accommodate everyone's non-smoking request there are times where all of the non-smoking rooms are booked and smoking rooms are the only available rooms. We know this can be an unfortunate situation but there is nothing we can do except try our best to make that guest happy. I'm willing to bet that is what happened here. Again, I'm sorry we were unable to accommodate your request. Please know we work very hard to provide our guests great experience when they choose to stay with us. There are way too many other hotel options for us not to do that. I hope you will trust us again in the future. We want you back. Take care!

“From Jeremy to the linens on the bed - excellent!”

The hotel is very clean.

The staff is excellent and professional except for the grey haired woman who works nights.

If a situation arises where attention must be shown to a particular challenge, the staff (with the exception of the prudence of the aforementioned woman) is more than willing to do what they can to bring about a good resolution.

Some floors are partial smoking floors. That said, the smell of smoke on these floors is not confined to the smoking portion only. If you have difficulty with the smell of smoke be sure to get a room on a non-smoking floor.

This property has come a long way since Jeremy has assumed leadership.

I stay at this property by choice and would have no difficulty recommending it to anyone.

“AWFUL EXPERIENCE”

We checked in on Friday, February 11, 2010. Upon entering the elevator I noticed dirt in the corners. We arrived in our room which appeared to be nice and a farily large room. We left to meet friends and returned approximately 2:00 a.m. We turned on the t.v. to find we had no reception, in the morning we again turned the t.v. on to no reception. Upon leaving the hotel for the day, we advised the front desk the t.v. was not working they informed us they would look into it. We arrvied back to the hotel that evening again no t.v. A call to the front desk told us no one was there that could look at it, it would have to wait until morning. The hotel was full of kids running every where and screaming. We listend to kids running the hall ways until well after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. Again on Sunday morning, our T.v. Still did not work, well over 36 hours since we checked in. When checking out, we were asked how everything was. I told the front desk clerk about the noise and she said she had had lots of complaints but they could not control everyone. By this point in time there were 5 or 6 other people waiting to check out and EACH OF THEM had the same complaint about the noise. I sent an email to the general manager of the hotel explaining all of this and have NEVER heard back from them. this is poor customer service and what could be a nice hotel is going down the drains really fast with this type of review.
