I require "clean and safe" in a budget motel.
The pros about this motel from my point of view include the interior corridors, free wifi, and use of sheets and comforters instead of bedspreads.
Continental breakfast is the minimal, but OK. I didn't use the fitness room or pool. Beds relatively hard.
The cons are the nonsmoking and smoking rooms on opposite sides of the same corridor (smoke would enter the room each time door opened), the a/c cycling off/on, and the room not being completely cleaned an inspected between occupants.
I found an item left behind in my room evidently tucked partially between the mattress and box springs. (I'm not exactly sure where it was to start because I heard something hit the floor when I got up in the night and have to assume it was knocked out when I pulled open the covers.) When reported, I received two different stories of who was in the room last--one was that an elderly couple was there and the other was that a local woman and her children checked in but did not stay the night (so they resold the room without cleaning).

This hotel was not a bad spot to stay. The beds were nice but the room and furniture were old and worn down. In fact, the desk was broken on one side. I might recommend you stay here if the other places in the area are booked.

The only plus to this hotel was the breakfast was better than most.. cereal, orange juice, milk, toast, pastry, and microwaveable biscuits and sausage. We booked this hotel because I read reviews on others that had bed bugs. The pool is nice but it's right off the front lobby (not laid out right) so if you're bashful in a bathing suit, you will want a cover up to walk to the pool. Bedrooms are small but neat. There was a stain on the end bed cover but I hoped it had been washed. I would have rather they replaced it and not left me wondering. We spent about $80 and to me a Super 8 was no different and we could have saved money. All and all, I would recommend if you don't mind spending a little more....it's just as good as the rest but not better as I thought by some of the pictures.
