This B&B is a gorgeous old home in downtown Louisville. When we arrived, it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The innkeepers, John & Ricardo, were very welcoming and so helpful in finding things to see and do around town.
We were on vacation with friends and were able to get rooms next door to each other. We would never have known anyone else was there though. The house is very quiet - noise from other guests is not a problem.
The rooms are very nicely appointed, plenty of room and with private baths. The shower in Louise's Country Cottage room was a bit short for my 6'3" husband, but we were able to make it work.
There is a comfy sitting room on the third floor with a small fridge and microwave. They also have an assortment of beverages there for your enjoyment. It was a relaxing place to hang out after a day on the KY Bourbon Trail.
Down on the first floor is the library, with some photo albums of the restoration of the house - you should check them out!
Also on the first floor is the elegantly decorated dining room. There is a sideboard that has snacks and cookies out all the time for your enjoyment. The tables are beautifully set. And the food! Each morning our innkeepers gave us a choice for breakfast - always go with the souffle or quiche. They were wonderful. Refills on tea and coffee got us going in the morning.
The Rocking Horse Manor B&B was a wonderful place to stay. If we make it back to Louisville, we will definitely stay here again.
