“Nice and Affordable”

I was in charge of booking rooms for my group. I called around and found this hotel at what I felt was a reasonable rate. So I booked it, then I got to reading the reviews and my stomach started to really turn flip flops. I thought oh my gosh what have I got my goup into I was not inpress with the reviews. So I decided to call them up and ask some question and they assure me that I would be inpressed. Well let me tell you I was more than inpressed it is a very nice hotel. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice and helped in every way. The sales people was so nice that they help me make arrangement with hot breakfast and lunch meals. The rooms was really nice, the pool and hot tub area was great and the food was unbelevable. My hold group was very impressed with it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. If I every had to take a group to Lousiville again this is the hotel I will be booking with.

“out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie..”

I had to stay here ( not reading trip advisor first ) after my flight got cancelled and all other hotels were full ( now i know why). The shuttle pick up came quick , but when we drove towards the hotel it looked like it had been empty for ages. It was late already, so the check in went smooth.. but then i got a map to find my room. I had to go through an empty atrium, where there is a pool and game sets ( it looked completly desolated and dark).. i had to climb through 2 dirty and cold staircases to get to my non smoking room , that faced the outside of the building.
The hallway was scary dark and cold and a loud heating unit was noising around. i went to my room and never left it until the next morning shuttle at 4.30 to airport. The bed was clean without bugs , but the whole room looked dark and outdated.. Would not stay there again..

“The worst!”

I let my boyfriend book the room (first mistake) for a visit to Louisville and the moment I stepped in the room, I knew that we would not be staying. The rooms are out dated and you never would have guessed that our room was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It smelled horrible, there were stains on the bedspread and bed skirt and it was just all around DISGUSTING. We asked for a refund and stayed at the super nice Holiday Inn right across the street. It cost a few dollars more but I would have paid a million more not to stay in that place.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

“Hotel From Hell”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Our trip to Louisville was for a family wedding. I thought Louisville was supposed to be a big city and maybe it was but NOT where we stayed. It was more like a ghetto hickville. Upon pulling up to the hotel I knew the stay wasn't going to be a pleasant one. The building looked old, run down and poorly maintained but Im always one to say you cant judge a book by its cover and decided to give it a shot. We arrived a few hours after our family. They had settled into their rooms but said we needed to exchange our room because when they checked it out it had a horrible stench. They moved us to what was supposed to be a non-smoking room on the first floor away from the rest of our party. This room smelled even worse. You know the way a dog smells when it's wet mixed with cigarette smoke, mold, and someone with a bad body odor? Yea, our room smelled worst than that!! Thank God we had a candle with us. We propped the door open to let the room air out and lit the candle. Entering the room I noticed that the carpet was outdated as well as the TV. Yes, they had a few decent channels but are we not in the year 2011 so why is our tv so big and bulky?! This was the first time in years that I've been to a hotel and hadn't seen a flat screen. However, that was not that big of a deal. We checked our beds for bedbugs. We saw specks of what we assumed to be dirt. Unsure as to what the bugs looked like we thought the beds were scott-free. Needless to say, we were wrong! My mom and I slept in the same bad and were scratching all night. I thought I was just being paranoid because I had never slept in such a rinky dink place before. Come to find out my mom got bit as well as my little cousin who was in a room that was nowhere near ours, and another one of my cousins saw a bedbug on her pillow. At this point we were on our way to the wedding and couldn't handle the situation properly but called to let the manager know what was going on. He spoke as if he knew about the problem but never outright said anything and mentioned that he could move us into another room. My mom and I were extremely disgusted and didn't want to be moved into another room because who is to say that the other room didn't have them and if they didn't they would've after we moved in there because they travel with clothes. By the time we got back from the wedding reception it was very late. We spoke to the hotel attendant and he told us there was no manager on duty, we would have to come back to the front desk at 9am. It was 1am and the only thing he suggested was to move us and said we could wash our clothes in their washing machine for $2 a load. Now usually that is something the hotel takes care of in a situation like this (even move us to another HOTEL) but at this point we were too tired to argue with him and ended up sleeping in the car. It was cold and rainy and the neighborhood was extremely sketchy. My mom slept with her high-heel boot in hand and I was ready with my car club. I set my alarm for 8:30am and as soon as 9am rolled around I was at the front desk. According to this manager, this is the first time she has ever heard about bedbugs in their hotel. She was unaware of the procedures the hotel were supposed to follow in such a situation however, she refunded us our money for they stay and said we could use that money to wash our clothes. I really wasn't satisfied with how anyone handled this ordeal but she was the only one that seemed to be genuinely concerned and sincerely apologetic and since I was ready to get the hell out of that hell hole all I could do was accept it. We gathered our clothes so fast and got up out of there.

Before booking this hotel my cousin called around to other hotels and everything was booked solid. NOW I KNOW WHY!!! In retrospect, besides my family there were maybe six other rooms occupied during our stay. For the hotel to be so big with so little occupants I should've known something was wrong. From now on I will judge any hotel I visit by the way it looks outside.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

“Nice Hotel Good Price but needs updating....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

The hotel and conference center was easy to access from the highway! The rooms were nice but did not include a microwave and refrigerator which are pretty much included in most hotels of this size and price. It had a pool and hot tub and exercise room and a large game room area around them! You can see that at one time this hotel was a happening place. The staff was friendly and helpful! For the price it was a good stay. There were a handful of restaurants close to the hotel but not much else nearby. Since the highway was so close it didn't take long to get anywhere in Louisville. It is across the highway from the airport so you hear planes landing but it's not very loud!
