$50-ish rate for two people for one night courtesy of a coupon out of the Kentucky Travel Coupons booklet from rest stop rack plus high quality expectations from other experiences with this chain brought me to this location. Area is replete with other motels, fast food outlets, and gas stations but modern, clean and safe. The most convenient entrance for check-in and moving luggage is on the back side of the building, away from the entrance road and through the parking lot. Ambiguous signage didn't lead me there on my first try. Lobby looks nice. Check in and out were efficient. Elevator was responsive and reliable. Room was reasonably sized and clean Wireless Internet access worked well. The bathroom was reasonably sized but not big. Tub and shower area looked aged. That surprised me. My room-mate thought the air conditioning let the temperature swing too widely overnight but I never noticed. The oddest not-nice thing about the room was a wire that came out of the wall-carpet junction under the work table, turned at the corner, wandered down the length of the outside wall, then made another corner turn and disappeared behind the bed. Calling it a tripping hazard is probably too alarmist, but it was just sloppy and combined with the tub/shower and the almost comical tangle of phone, TV cable, power lines, and mystery wires under the work table to undermine the notion that I had stayed at a really nice place for a bargain price. The breakfast area was clean and attractive, and the offerings were just a touch above the basics that almost every chain has.
