“Great Place, Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

My husband and I were heading home from our Road Trip in the Mountains. Our original goal was to stop in Cincinnati however, we tired out around Lexington, KY and stopped for dinner. We ended up deciding to stay and checked online for the best rates. Sleep Inn had received fair reviews on the internet and had the best rate in the area, so we booked it around 9pm.

After finishing dinner we headed over to the hotel, upon arrival we were told the rate had changed to $85/night and she would honor this rate (we originally booked the room for $99). We had also booked a King Bed non-smoking room, however, the lovely woman behind the counter said they no longer had King Beds and that the website had been incorrect. She was able to offer us a Queen Bed room and further discounted the price to $75/night as we had expected something else. Thus, the service at the Sleep Inn was amazing!

Upon entering the room, my husband and I were very pleased with the cleanliness and layout of the room. It was just enough space for a young couple. The room was equipped with a microwave, fridge, free Wifi and cable TV. The bed was comfortable, I generally have trouble sleeping in beds that are not my own, and I slept fairly well. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed waffles, fruit, cereal, biscuits and gravy!

We would stay here again and will now consider Sleep Inns on our future journeys.

“Defintiely OK , Not a great deal, Good housekeepers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2010

One big problem I had with this hotel was the shower stalls offered very odd bathing conditions for me personally. I about cut my hand on the top of the shower door trying to hold on as I bent over in the stall tryin gto hold myself from falling or slipping. Housekeeper provided excellent service but spoke no English that I could find understandable. Ice machine put out ice with dirt specks in the ice so useless for trying to add to a drink. Breakfast was ok , but the gravy was so thin I could have used a straw to drink it. the biscuits were cold as well. No kind of meat offered on breakfast bar. No eggs either. Waffles stuck due to no spray, never seen no spray put out before. No premium cable channels as advertised. NO HBO. Water was always hot in bath areas. Light switches in terrible locations in room. No thought put into their placement obviously. No top cover for bedding. Bedding was ok, not great. The cheap, cheap no frills hotel one road over is less expensive and just as nice for the money, and they have meat and eggs for breakfast. Parking was also an issue, the lot is too small for bigger, full size vehicles to utilize the spots easily.

“Ok hotel- Rooms smell of smoke”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2009

We stayed here for a week for work. My room was VERY tiny. It was a non-smoking room, but was on a smoking floor, so the room and hallway reeked of smoke. The front desk staff was very nice, has a decent Continental Breakfast. If I was traveling on my own I would prefer something a little nicer and smoke-free. Close to tons of restaurants within walking distance. Would also have been better if it had a fitness center, or at least a treadmill. Also, several nights we returned late and the parking lot was full, so we had to park on the road behind the hotel and walk down the steep hill. They also allow pets, so I listened to a dog yapping most of the night and found a pile of dog feces in the hallway the next morning.

“good value, very good location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2009

I have stayed here twice. This hotel is VERY easy to get to from I-75. The rooms are VERY clean, but VERY basic, but the price is also 20 to 50 bucks less than other places. The rooms have a nice large shower stall, but no bathtub. Also, the sink/vanity is not "inside" the bathroom, it is just outside the door of the "bathroom". There were plenty of towels in the room and also poolside. I stayed on the first floor both times and did not have a problem with noise.
The breakfast is ok. They have coffee, juice, and milk to drink. Food options are: waffles, biscuits/gravy, pastries, cinnamon rolls, toast, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal etc. Not any real protein options.
The staff was friendly and check in/out was quick and painless. I would stay here again.
This hotel is close to TONS of restaurant choices. Pretty much any kind of food you can imagine is within 5 min. drive time and there is an outback steakhouse within walking distance. Also, KFC, mcdonald's, arby's across street. Waffle house is next door.

“Good value, good product”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2009

A better than average Sleep Inn that had a recently painted/refurbished appearance. Check in was quick and the staff was very helpful.
