I've been a fan of Red Roofs since finding out they are very pet friendly. Whenever I travel I always check to see if there is a Red Roof anywhere nearby. They also have a fantastic rewards program.

This North Lexington Red Roof did not disappoint. It was exceptionally clean and very quiet. It is right off the interstate. The only real downside is that there is nowhere within walking distance to get something to eat. You would have to drive a few miles. It is a very short distance to downtown, right down Broadway a few miles and you are right in the middle of the city.

For budget conscious travelers looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay, this is an excellent option. It is a very basic motel. It does not include breakfast, just coffee in the lobby (which I did not try). It also does not have things like an ironing board, or hairdryer.
If you need these kinds of amenities, the this Red Roof is not for you, but if you really just need a comfortable place to sleep, this is by far your most economical way to do it.

I normally stay in a business king because they include refrigerators, but the two double bed rooms do not. Also, the non-smoking room I had was truly non-smoking. I did smell one bit of old smoke smell.

The staff was nice and efficient. I didn't really interact with them much, only at check in and check out.

We stayed here on our way back to Monroe Louisiana. This place is great! It is very easy to find and in a great area. We stopped after 5 hours of driveing and we were able to be checked into a very clean and affordable room before check in time. The young girl at the desk ( Wendy) was so nice and gave us directions to a great restaurant that had a bar (that we really needed after a 5 hour drive!!!). i'm not use to staying at Red Roof Inn and was supprised how nice everyone was. We have to drive back to see our family and will definately spend the night again!!

My husband, my German Shepherd & I stayed there one night on our way to Florida - no huge issues, other than the front desk person was very indifferent (but maybe that was just her style), and the shower-head could blow you right out of the tub if you weren't careful (only settings: off or full blast on).
Place was clean, dated, but comfortable for a night. It's right off the highway, so very easy to get to... There are fast food places within a quick drive of the place (NO BREAKFAST in this RR, only not-so-good coffee). It's also just one or 2 exits South of an incredible Kentucky Horse Park, if you into that kind of thing.
Overall, I would check out other places in the area before staying there again, but in a pinch, I'd stay there again...

Rooms are dark and dingy. Mine smelled like dog and moth balls. Location is ok, surroundings are awful - industrial/commercial look. Staff very good! That's the only thing recommendable. Rooms were okay clean; no hairdryer, no continental breakfast as advertised. Must have been the Express Coffee & Hot Water machine in the lobby. Bad value for the money.
