Would not recommend at all! The bed was hard like sleeping on the floor. Really outdated furniture and appliances. Very dusty!!!!

This place is dirty and nasty. It just seems like a seedy place where people are hiding out from troubles.

I can't understand how it's considered a 2 star place.

Another family member had reserved a room here for my mother, my young son and myself for a holiday weekend. When we arrived, we were given a room with one double bed. For three people. In addition, there were crumbs on the carpet, old food and a half-empty soda bottle in the fridge, no toilet paper, and a bathtub that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.
We immediately turned around and headed back to the front office for a room change. The desk clerk was bored and indifferent and said she had another room but she wanted to "check it" first. So while a second clerk did the forms and made the keys, she went to check the second room. When we got down there a few minutes later she was coming out of the room with a paper towel and bottle of cleaner in her hand. This room was only slightly cleaner and there was still no toilet paper and only one double bed, and there were still three of us. Thinking that maybe they just hadn't grasped the concept that two adults and a preschooler cannot sleep comfortably in one double bed, we explained that we needed a room with either two doubles or a king. We were then told that this was the only room type that they had. We didn't stay. I used my cell phone to call my favorite hotel chain and within minutes had found a room with 2 queen beds at a price that was comparable to this dump. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

You can't really complain for the price you pay here at Tate's Creek. It goes back to the old saying of "you get what you pay for". All in all it was not bad. I stayed in room 105. It is a little small with a full size bed two nighstands a dresser and a chair. You have a decent size closet, but it has no doors. The kitchenette is great for the extended stay traveler's with a sink, microwave, oven/stovetop, refrigerator and a mini-counter top/breakfast bar. It was in the middle of the two loactions I was visiting which was the KY horsepark for the Rolex 3 Day Event and Keeneland Racetrack

This hotel probably does need to have some renovations done. Whether it is an update on the paint or new curtains/bed spread to give it a fresh new look. It looked so tired when I walked in...it made me tired.
