We were very happy with our stay at the Country Inn, Lexington. The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was modern and clean. The pool was nice, and we really liked the hot tub. The breakfast buffet had sausage, eggs, waffles, and more.
My favorite thing was the shower. The room had an outstanding shower with good water pressure and a lot of adjustment. Probably the best hotel shower I have ever had!
The location of this hotel is good. It is close to some of the main highways/streets in Lexington and has easy access to a lot of shopping and restaurants.
If I had to point out negatives, it would be the small parking lot (we had to park in a lot next door when we came in late one night) and unfortunately, while we were there the internet was not working properly (which was just a temporary problem, I'm sure).

I would strongly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again.

Someone had suggested the Microtel which was a major disappointment so we left and I saw this Country Inn across the street - I was so glad we changed to this hotel. Yes we paid alot more but everything was well appointed, clean and modern.

I don't know what it was about the bed exactly but it was so squishy soft and never made me feel too hot or too cold - I wish my bed at home was this awesome! There was a quilted mattress pad and it seemed like a down comforter inside of a duvet cover that kind of molded itself to you...well anyway you go to a hotel to sleep and this was a GREAT bed.

The room and bathroom were both very clean - I felt perfectly okay going barefoot and taking a tub bath and I didn't see any mildew, bugs or damage (all of which will make me leave a hotel quick!)

They have (THANK YOU) 24-hour coffee in the lobby and most the time they have these cookies sitting on the front desk - I don't know what brand of dough they bake but I swear I have never had a better sugar cookie in my life and I really had to use restraint and not keep taking more of them.

The breakfast bar was in a nice seperate room and had plenty of choices and decent coffee - being a vegetarian I loved the big pot of oatmeal and the peanut butter, raisins and honey to put in it. You also get real silverware instead of plasticware and ceramic coffee cups instead of foam/paper cups which besides reducing waste also make dining more enjoyable.

We actually planned on staying at the Hampton but got in a day early and stayed the night here. We liked it so much we changed reservations and stayed the whole week. The evening & day service desk people were so accomodating and nice and we literally became friends with the morning breakfast attendant looking forward to her stories and places to see each morning. Will stay no where else now!

I would highly suggest this hotel. Everyone was extremely pleasant. There were freshly made cookies in the lobby and the continental breakfast was wonderful. The woman that was in charge of the breakfast room went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they wanted. Our room was great. It was very nice, clean, and comfortable. There was no down side to staying here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
