The Poplar Creek Lodge totally exceeded my expectations. Katie and Pete, the owners, go above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel at home. They are always on site, if you have any needs at all. They even dried our beach towels for us, after coming in from the lake! They gave us boat ramp passes, and directions to anywhere we needed to go. They even said they would pick us up if we needed a driver;o) As far as the rooms go, they are very clean, and have been newly renovated. You couldn't ask for better service, and I would definitely recommend staying there!

When we first drove up the the Poplar Creek Lodge, we had doubts about the strong recommendations on trip advisor. But after our stay we would definitely go back. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. And the Lodge owner Katie was very helpful as well.

We have traveled in many areas with our childrens sports and this past weekend we stayed at Poplar Creek Lodge in Kuttawa, Ky for my sons Jr. Bass fishing tournament. This by far was the friendlest, cleanest and best rates we have found. Katie and Pete (owners) are so caring. We had several things happen in the 2 1/2 days we were there...boat motor decided not to run..dropped off boat and than after stopping for gas in the truck our fuel pump in the truck went up....so, I called Katie and she quickly found boat repair shops for us. They offered rides etc. If anyone is ever in Kuttawa, Ky or anywhere around Barkley/Kentucky lake you must stop by and visit Poplar Creek Lodge.

Our fishing group has been going to Kentucky Lake/Lake Barclay for many years and we have stayed in other places. I wish we would have found Poplar Creek Lodge sooner. It is so convenient to the lake, the accommodations were immaculate and the sense of relaxation was amazing. Katie and Pete did everything and more to accommodate our group, we felt like part of their family the way they treated us.
If you are ever in the area and need a nice place to stay and be assured of a good nights sleep you will not find any place better and the best part is they are so very reasonably priced.
