I traveled with a group of family and lots of children. It was a last minute spring break trip to get away and we chose Jameson East in Louisville because of the great rate and indoor pool. But this hotel as I found out is not for African Americans. We were treated so poorly. We had one lady that was extremely helpful (an Asian lady), polite and tried her best to make us feel comfortable. But our trip was already ruined. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. We asked for clean sheets due to the widespread threat of bed bugs. We wanted to make sure we had clean sheets and I had my 8 month old baby with me so I didn't want to take any chances. They gave us a hard time about giving us clean sheets, "they didn't have any", the manager said at first. We left to go sight see and came back there were sheets on the sink in each of our rooms when we returned. Then they put us at the very end of the hotel. We originally booked our rooms specifically for non-smoking when we got there, unaware, they put us on the smoking floor at the very end of the hotel. Then we woke up the next morning my little cousin had an asthma attack, my eyes were swollen. We went to complain about our rooms smelling like smoke then they moved us to the third floor where there is completely no smoking, to the opposite end, at the very end of the hotel again. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast and the Asian lady that was so polite. I had issues with the so-called crib they give you for your children. It was a playpen and it was broken. When I told them about it they said the hotel only has three and they didn't have anymore available. Then the next day we got back to the hotel from another adventure and our room key didn't work! The man was so rude and slammed a new key down on the counter at me! This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Then I found out they do not change the comforters on the beds. They changes the sheets and put the same comforters back on the beds. I saw one of the cleaning ladies make the bed in another room as I walked by. I asked them for another comforter in the beginning and they said they only had enough for the 80 hotel rooms they had. This should be a disgrace to Caucasians as well as any other race because this is unacceptable service due to us being African Americans. They treated the Caucasians so nice and kind while talking harshly to us and acted as if we were asking for too much! UNACCEPTABLE HOTEL SERVICE!
