My husband and myself are frequent Holiday Inn Express guests and this was one of the best we've stayed at. We enjoyed it so much that we went out of our way to stayed at this same hotel on our way back through Kentucky. The staff was excellent, breakfast was good and hot (typical eggs, biscuits, gravy, bagel, muffins, etc.), and the area was nice and conveniently located to many attractions. My only (unreported) complaint would have been the smell of cigar smoke in the hall on our first stay. The smell stayed in the hall though and I'm not sure if there was smoking allowed in the hotel or not so I didn't say anything. If I'm going to pick apart the hotel, it looked like there had been water damage at one point in the room we first stayed in (on the second floor, I believe) on the ceiling and the wall paper looked like it had peeled in that area but there was no issue other then the inital double-take (ie, no lingering odor). Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would definiately stay here again!

Having done a lot of traveling with so many places to compare this to, this was by far one of the best experiences ever! The Holiday Inn Express was immaculate, the bedroom was very roomy with the most comfortable beds, and the free breakfast bufffet in the morning was hot and delicious with a variety of items to choose from.
We had planned a one week vacation of sightseeing and this was the perfect place to be....just far enough from the airport for quiet and privacy and yet close enough to everything you could possibly want to visit on your trip!

This Holiday Inn express was nice. The pool was clean but small. The breakfast was yummy with bacon and also eggs with melted cheese on bagels! There are lots and lots of restaurants nearby - mostly fastfood but everyone you could imagine is right there! Our room was clean but the bed was as hard as a rock which made for a not so good night of sleep. Considering the good location near hwy 64, the friendly staff, yummy breakfast, nice pool and clean room - I would stay here again but just expect a stiff back in the morning from the hard bed.

This is very nice property...very clean and well run. Recently renovated. The staff were very nice, especially the GM, Angelia Tucker. There were some minor problems, but aren't there always?
Even though the equipment had recently been repaired, the jets in the whirlpool did not work. The whirlpool was just a bit too warm and the pool a bit too cold. The room was excellent, and the bed one of the most comfortable I've slept in recently. There are several restaurants nearby and the location is very convenient to I-64 on the East side of Louisville. Breakfast was good, but it's the first time I've seen bacon at an HIExpress...usually it's sausage patties. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone having business in Louisville, or for leisure travelers as well.
