“D rating - damp, dirty, and dated”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Gave this hotel a D - it was damp, dated and dirty. If it weren't for the holiday and the fact that I had my husband and 3 kids along, I would have left almost after stepping foot into the lobby. Not impressed. Will never stay with a Holiday Inn again after this experience. I had asked for adjoining rooms when booking our room and was assured it shouldn't be a problem. It was and were were told our rooms were on the same floor. ? We ended up across the hall from each other only after changing rooms because there was a barking dog in the room next door. When we got into the room, the odor was overwhelming to me and it felt unclean. When my kids asked why I kept the lights on I said because "I didn't want to see the cockroaches scatter." Our air conditioner/heater leaked water. The windows were steamed up the entire time we were there. There is no working fan in the bathroom, the toilet ran the entire night. ...I could go on and on... I agree with "Eighty dollars for this" Insult to injury was the $6.99 charge for breakfast each morning. There are several other options in the Hopkinsville area - look in to them...

“Nice Overnight Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We wandered in on a Friday evening with no reservation. The room was reasonable and clean. We spent the evening in the bar watching college football with some locals and had some good conversations. It was not crowded at all. As Holiday Inn Platinum members we were provided with a free breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms facing the back are quieter. There was road noise in the front rooms. The wireless was super fast.

“A good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

I only spent one night in this hotel. However, the room was very nice and clean. It met my expectations for a nice hotel stay and should I ever have the need again to travel to this city, I would stay at this location.

“Eighty dollars for this!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

i did not like the condition of the room. On my first night in my room (407), i wasted a drink on the sheets. the next day after house keeping came thru, the same stained sheets were on the bed. Great service!!! Part two, i had the coldest shower ever ( for two days). I checked out and went to Best Western.

“A good value and a clean place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

I spent 3 nights in Sept 2010. My family had 3 rooms. Two rooms were double beds on the 2nd floor on the front of the building. The 3rd room was a king bed on the 1st floor facing the front parking lot and off of the lobby. I was a little concerned after reading the.previous reviews. We did NOT experience any of the negative issues in the previous reviews. The building was quiet. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. Housekeeping did a good job. The beds in all 3 rooms were extremely comfortable. The staff took pride in their pillows. The pool was excellent. It had a window at the far end of the pool that overlooked Skyline Drive (local street) which allowed in natural light. The pool area had a whirlpool and a hot sauna room. The pool closed at 10 PM for the benefit of the guests not being disturbred by noise. They had a breakfast bar that had eggs, meat, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. In addition they had a bar available in the evening and a dinner menu that had sandwiches and some steaks.. I paid $30 less per room per night than the other major inns in Hoptown. My rate with AARP was $79 and AARP got me a free breakfast bar for 2 adults. I give the Holiday Inn 5 stars for value for your dollar and the accomadations and COMFORT you receive for your money. I gave a 4 star on the room for the tube TV. When the budget allows upgrades they can put flat screen TV's in their rooms. I will definetely stay their again.
