The rooms were more basic than other Fairfields. There was barely enough room for a playpen to be set up and then you couldn't walk past it due to the room size. The bathroom was nice and updated. The breakfast was good which was important to us.

They allowed us to check in late. I wish they would have given us more than one room key.

We had good - not perfect - stay at the Fairfield Inn in Hopkinsville. Rooms are basic, but are clean and provide you with everything you need. Parking is convenient and plentiful. Certain parts of hotel are beginning to show normal wear-and-tear; nothing major, just shows that this hotel gets a number of guests. Just as example, during our stay, there were about 4 girls softball teams staying - making for a somewhat less-than-peaceful experience. The breakfast area is very small, maybe with about 15-20 seats and when you add about 60 girls - well, you get the idea! The breakfast offerings didn't look all that good, so we went across the street to Starbucks - very convenient to this hotel!

We were in Hopkinsville for a funeral and wanted a different place to stay other than the Holiday Inn, which we've stayed at before. The place smelled sour (the floor even felt wet), the room was smaller than similar hotels, and they had no business center to print . The front desk lady was nice but non-existant a lot. The only redeeming thing was the cookies at the front desk.

We chose the Fairfield Inn as a stopover on a long road trip. While it appears to be a bit of a trip off I-24, it’s not bad; if you picture a flat triangle with the hotel at the peak, you can see that
you’re going roughly parallel to I-24 as you approach the hotel, so you don’t need to backtrack when you get back on the road the next day.

This was a typical Fairfield; the room was comfortable and there was a free breakfast and free high-speed Internet, which worked well. The pool was indoor and a decent size for swimming laps. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave.

There were a few places to eat within walking distance including a pub (O’Malley’s) and Tex-Mex (El Bracero). Hotel guests get a discount at El Bracero. I picked up some take-out there but realized after I got back to the room that they hadn’t packed anything but the food- no
napkins, no plastic tableware or plates. Remember to ask for them if you order takeout from El Bracero! A few miles away there are many other options- hotels and the usual franchises.

We'd definitely stay here again.
