“Older motel, definitely in need of renovation, but nowhere as bad as some here say it is.”
I prefer to stay at Day's Inn when I travel, and have seldom been disappointed. This time I was using my Wyndham Rewards points, so I guess it didn't cost me anything to stay. For the advertised price of $45 per night, I would have had some issues. As it was, (1) the security chain fell off the wall mount - a chair propped against the door handle was our security; (2) the radio didn't work; (3) no shampoo; (4) hide-away places not properly cleaned or even vacuumed (behind the end table looked like it had not been touched in weeks); and (5) the "Day Break" breakfast is the smallest I've ever seen in a Day's Inn -- though the coffee was fresh and hot.
I won't say the place was any of the negative comments others have left, but if I had actually PAID $45 I would be VERY disappointed. This motel does NOT live up to what I'm used to at Day's Inn. Some people are simply too picky, and should not expect five-star motels for a one star price. In addition, there are some people who can not be pleased, no matter what. On the up side, the bed was very comfortable, and I did sleep well.
We arrived around noon, and didn't expect a room to be ready for check-in at that time; the gal on the registration desk was great -- said that we could check in later -- around midnight or even later was our plan, as we were going to a night baseball game, then out to eat. When we got back to the motel the older gal at the desk was less hospitable, and for a few minutes I didn't think she was going to check us in at all.
Renovation will certainly help, as (aside from the traffic on I-71-75, request a room on the WEST side of the motel) the motel is VERY convenient for travel into Covington, Newport, and Cincinnati. I'd also suggest turning the guest room nearest the registration into an actual lobby -- there is not room for 3 people in the present "lobby" at one time.
Room Tip: If you're very picky find another motel. Stay on the west side as the motel is VERY close to a...

This reviewer was fair in assessment of our hotel. As the reviewer stated we are in need of renovations and as such we are priced below market. We do work hard to provide clean comfortable lodging and our front desk staff strives to help guest any way they can. Our locations is close to downtown Cincinnati, the Zoo, stadiums, and more.
