“Excellent Stay at this Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Stayed at this hotel during the last week of December as I was in town for a funeral. The staff is very accommodating and very helpful. My room was spotless, the bed and pillows were very soft and comfortable, and the bathroom superbly clean. Breakfast was very good as it offered eggs, ham, waffles (regular and strawberry), boiled eggs, 3 cereals, pastries, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, juice, coffee and milk. All the food was hot and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and was very rested when I left. Should I ever return to the area, I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

“Needs work; poor housekeeping.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

Stayed here 7/30/11 with hubby, on vacation. This is a very old Holiday Inn. New furniture, carpet, wallpaper, drapes; old thin towels and sheets. Bathroom tile had cracks, mold, stains, smears of caulk. Someone else's hair was in tub, sink and on floor. Gross. We did not use shower and wore shoes in bathroom. I cleaned the sink good. The room, even with all the lamps on, was dark. Breakfast was...well, the yogurt was good. Scrambled eggs had that off taste from dried eggs; 'ham' was greasy and full of gristle. Cranberry juice was colored water, no flavor at all; pastry was dry and stale. When I learned online that dogs were allowed, I called directly to hotel to make reservations. I was assured dogs were kept in first floor rooms. We were on the 3rd, there were dogs. So those with allergies, beware. Will not stay here again. On a positive note, the evening counter employee allowed me to go behind the counter to use his computer as I had to print out a document I had left home. The king bed was very comfy.

“Nice motel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2011

Remodeled motel. Clean! Window treatments enabled room to be dark, which was great.
Nice furniture. King bed with small couch. Wi-fi in rooms. Nice new TV that was easy to operate. Have stayed other places where it's like a puzzle to get a channel I like. Really liked the nice binder on the desk, with every station listed, restaurants listed, anything we needed to know in an easy-to-read format.
Room was in quiet location Quiet low speed fan.
Incredible breakfast: scrambled eggs cooked to perfection, hot sausage, hard boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, all kinds of rolls, bread, bagels, cereal, hot coffee, hot water for tea. Very nice remodeled eating area, with computer for looking up travel arrangements. Was quiet. We were very happy to stay here after visiting family. Would stay again when driving up I-75 from Florida..

“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

Stayed here one night on our way home from Florida to Michigan. Very nice room, recently updated. 2 queen beds that were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning consisted of make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, danish, cereals, juices, coffee & tea. It was all very nice. Non smoking hotel, did not smell any smoke.

“I will never stay at this Holiday Inn Express again!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2010

In July, 2010, my family along with 4 other families spent one night at this particular Holiday Inn Express. Our group plans were to attend a Braves game and wanted to stay somewhat local but not in town. As a believer in Holiday Inn's quality and service, along with my friend's beliefs, this hotel, by name only, was our choice. Our arrival was met with disappointment. The hotel was dated, dirty , holes in the wall and the bed was like sleeping on a box spring minus a mattress, just not a Holiday Inn quality hotel. Upon check-in, my family had difficulty getting into our room, had to wait for housekeeping to get the door to open. Upon our arrival back to the hotel at midnight, we tried to enter our room only to no avail. My husband went to the front desk, had the key "refigured" for about the 3rd time that day, still no access to our room and belongings. Finally around 12:30AM or so, and a very sleepy child, the staff from the front desk took turns trying to open our door. There was one vacant room, but had not been cleaned, so there we sat in the hallway on not so clean carpet for over an hour. The night manager called the hotel manager, Bob Patel, he told them another thing to do so we could access our room. Finally around 1:30AM we got into our room, part of the lock was taped to the door! I have to say both of these gentlemen were very nice and very apologetic for our inconvenience. The next morning a lady, in the elevator, complained of her water running all night, she reported it to the front desk, but they were unable to repair so her family was not happy from a poor night's sleep. When we checked out my husband rightfully complained and was told we were entitled to a $40 refund, per Mr. Patel, despite that we paid $92.62 for the night. Again, none of the group I was with will EVER stay here again, despite our future trips to this area. Oh, one last thing....as my husband complained about the service or lack of service, he was told that this particular hotel was to be "gutted" within the next month to become a Comfort Inn & Suites. I guess that is the reason for the poorly prepared hotel that is still booking rooms and giving the Holiday Inn Express a bad reputation!
