There are many things Extended Stay does well, and there are a few things they could do better.

Things to appreciate:
Friendly staff
Hotel appeals to business travelers
Fridge, microwave, and stove in the room
Rooms with windows that open for fresh air -- very important!
Rooms are clean and comfortable

Things that could be better:
I often feel like at Extended Stay I'm paying more than I should for the value I'm getting. Their prices are just a little on the high side for a hotel that shuts its front desk down at night.

I always find it odd that Extended Stay provides a sink and dishes, but no dish soap. If they can't just leave one big bottle in the room for health concerns; then just have little bottles that are about the same size as shampoo.

This particular hotel had lost its numbers on the elevator buttons, so you had to guess which button to push. Fortunately, there were only three or four floors, so it wasn't impossible to figure out, but it's an odd thing for the management to leave unfixed. It would take 2 minutes to tape up a temporary sign next to each button.

Wireless internet isn't that expensive to install and would add a lot of value to this hotel chain
