Two of my buddies and I drove up for a birthday celebration at Hofbrauhaus, and booked a room at the Hampton. We traveled light, and decided to check into the hotel after our evening. We called in to verify we had the room, and we would be checking in late. We got there at 1:00 am. We checked in and given #107. None of the keys issued by the desk worked, and finally the security guard came to help us. To our surprise, the door opened and a sleepy, surprised, and obviously scared couple met us at the door. They subequently "freaked" and ran out of the hotel. The desk clerk, who told us that the only other room he had left was #400, and if that didn't meet our needs, we would have to find accomodations elsewhere. He was totally non-interested in our situation, or if we could even find a room at that hour of the morning. The guard, quickly took charge of the situation, and got us into our room, secured a roll-away bed, linens, and made certain we were comfortable. The security guard deserves a hefty raise and lots of kudos for taking charge of this situation. The next morning, the apologetic manager made good on the Hilton promise, and comped our room. She assured us that the situation would be looked into and those who needed to be disciplined would be. A very, very interesting evening at the Hampton Inn.
Room Tip: Double, triple check your room is not occupied by other guests!

I do apologize for the inconvenience experienced at check in. Please note this is not the level of service we strive for. I am happy to hear our Security Guard was able to rectify the situation and accommodate you and your guests. We do stand behind our Hampton 100% guarantee when guests are not 100% satisfied with their stay and happy to extend the offer.
