I selected this place based on the favorable reviews here. It was an acceptable choice for a low price, but I'm not sure it quite deserves its favorable ratings. It did not exceed my expectations in any way. Unfortunately, the other options in Cadiz seem to be no better. If I had to stay in Cadiz, I would consider it again, but only at a low rate.
Pros: Relatively friendly staff. Low price. Location is near the few local restaurants. Free breakfast, such as it is. The free wifi was functional.
Cons: Outdoor room entrances. Very loud ROAR of interstate traffic is a big problem. (Definitely ask for a room on the back side of the motel away from the highway). Mattresses are VERY hard and uncomfortable. The only ice machine was broken for our entire stay, though I did get free bagged ice from staff once. Cleanliness is fair, but nothing to write home about. Decor is dated. Few local dining options and no local shopping if you disregard the local convenience store.
For what its worth, the free breakfast offerings are: fruit loops, raisin bran, bagels, horribly stale biscuits, gravy, raisin toast, oatmeal and mini muffins. There is milk, orange juice, coffee, and apple juice. No eggs and no waffles. They make no attempt to keep the milk or juice cold, which is a little off-putting.
