“Serenity easy to achieve here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Charming bed and breakfast in a lovely tranquil setting. Gorgeous stained glass pieces, large copper eagle sculpture on porch, fabulous artwork. Our hosts recommended several restaurants and we were looking for something special since it was my birthday - we went to Bowling Green to the 440 Main Street and their recommendation was superb.

Our room was charming, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and just the right amount. I left satisfied but not stuffed. It was all delicious. We felt welcomed and were delighted to hear about the history of many of the pieces and find out some of the special touches to the recipes.

Think we need to visit again in the spring - would have liked to walk around the grounds!

Room Tip: We chose a first floor room so we didn't have to carry our luggage up stairs.

“Serenity Hill Bed and Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

Very nice people and accomodating with our rooms. Very clean rooms/bath/house. Fresh cookies were awaiting us. Large living room to accomodate all the guests. Lots of games to play. Complimentary hot teas & coffees but no complimentary cold drinks but they did offer room temperature water. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable.. Room was chilly late at night, electric blanket didnt seem to get very warm didnt know until morning a portable heater was in our closet. Bathroom was clean, large plush towels, as the other guy said only a half roll of tp in the room with no extra (stole the roll out of the other bathroom). Disappointed in breakfast as compared to other bnb's. Chopped fruit, a piece of quish, and a piece of apple crisp only one beverage choice apple cranberry juice unless you fixed a hot drink. Nicely priced and i bet really pretty in the summer.

Room Tip: always check out the room on the website and read reviews! It worries me if they do not have plenty...

Thank you for the review. Our guest and their comfort are very important to us. We do our best to make sure they do not need anything during their stay. Occasionally we miss something. Reviews help us to know when someone had a less than perfect stay. Reviews also help us to understand problem areas. We have learned to double check the TP. Guests are always encouraged to let us know if they need anything. If we had known the room temperature was a little chilly we would have gladly turned up the heat. Yes, we do keep a pitcher of filter room temperature water out for guest to enjoy. But, guest always know where the ice is located. When the weather is warm we do offer complimentary lemonade or iced teas. Breakfast is served in three courses. The starter that morning was not just fruit pieces is was a bowl of fresh fruit salad, followed by a large serving of homemade ham and spinach quiche and homemade apple crisp. As for beverages available for breakfast, our guest can enjoy hot coffee, a selection of hot teas, hot apple cider and hot chocolate. Yes we do serve juice at breakfast. Typically if guests would like cold milk or cold water instead of juice they let us know.

“Very good for older couples”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

No kids please!!!!!! Too clean, too many antiques, too many instructions to fallow. Nice place if you are older couple who will not break the furniture, mess up the decorations, and do not need big breakfast. Every wall has little notes with instructions: please do not do this, please do not do that... I took my son there and was really scared to even breath... Otherwise nice place, beautifully decorated, very very clean.
The breakfast was great, it just was not enough of it... Maybe for people counting calories it is good, but I left the table hungrier than when I sat down.

“Peaceful, quiet, secluded setting - comfortable home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

As the name implies, our stay here was Serene. This modest home is filled with beautiful & interesting antiques, collectibles and artwork. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful garden and observing nature. The hummingbirds were AMAZING! We enjoyed our visits with the hosts. They are very welcoming and provided us with lots of helpful information about the area. Our upstairs room was clean & comfortable with a very nice view. The breakfast each morning was different and superior. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area.

Room Tip: Upstairs room has lovely view, but it is next to the owners quarters which is seperated by a locked...
