“Nice motel, close to everything in Bowling Green”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

Spent the night here on my way home to eastern Kentucky from Nashville. Chose this Comfort Inn because it gave me a free night through a Choice Privileges bonus reward program, and because it has exterior corridors where you can park right outside the door. On the online reservation form I asked for a first floor room but when I checked in the room given to me was second floor. The clerk hadn't seen the request but when I pointed it out, he gladly changed it to a first floor room. The motel was near capacity because of a Buick car show and there were several old Buicks on trailers in the parking lot, which made parking a bit tricky. But I still managed. The room was fine, clean, had a microwave and fridge, comfy bed. The sink area is separate from the toilet and bath/shower, which is a good thing because the bathroom area is tiny. The wi-fi signal was strong but it lost connection to the Internet on a couple of occasions, but not a big deal because I was trying to watch the UK football game online and they were getting the crap beaten out of them by Georgia. Not a whole lot of water pressure in the shower but I am used to that in motels. Breakfast was good -- sausage, biscuits & gravy and the typical continental fare. This motel is located on the south side of I-65 along Scottsville Road (US 231) and there are other motels and a few restaurants on this side of the interstate, and all kinds of retail shopping and restaurants on the north side of I-65. There are probably cheaper options available in the area (such as the Econo Lodge next door) but I would definitely consider staying here again if I am back in Bowling Green.

“Bottom line - my kids refused to shower here!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2010

This was a "getting in late, leaving early" stayover on our way to Gulf Shores. We got in late and tired and not ready to switch hotels or to fight the fight so we just stayed. The "down and out" room was dirty, the sheets were clean but the comfortor was dated to say the least. My kids (12 & 16) chose to not shower in the morning because the bathroom was "nasty" to quote my son. I listened to the clanging of the trash bin gate of the 24 hour gas station that backs right up to the hotel for most of the night. I could see the gleem of some substance smeared on the front of the microwave....can you say windex? This place is far past just cleaning, which doesn't appear to be happening, it really needs to be overhauled. If I were Comfort Inn I'd want my name off this place....yuck!

“Mostly a good choice for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2010

My wife and I stayed here in early January while in Bowling Green for a family wedding. I can’t say anything too bad about the place. The room was clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled (except the bathroom). The bed was comfortable and the room came with a new flat-screen TV and the now-standard coffee-maker, microwave, refrigerator and hair-dryer. The price was very good (we paid about $62/night on the weekend). The hotel offers a continental breakfast, which includes a couple of hot items. It is OK. And the management was friendly and efficient. The only downside is that the rooms have outside entrances. There is a lot of noise coming from Scottsville Road from about 11 pm to 2 am. So if you can, try to get a room on the side away from the highway. Otherwise, it is a very good choice for the money.

“Not a testimonial for Comfort Inns”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2009

This was a stopover on trip to final destination. Decent price. Usually Comfort Inns are decent options. This is an exception. Outdoor entry into rooms. First thing I noticed was the very offensive odor of the room. Had it not been for the fact that the bedding smelled clean and fresh, I would have turned around and asked for my money back. Price was decent and we were just stopping over enroute to other destination so we stayed. Traffic horrendous in the area. Very continental breakfast with several hot selections, including self serve waffle maker.

  • Liked — Continental breakfast better than most!
  • Disliked — Smell in the room.
