We have always stayed in the Motel 6 when visiting Bowling Green but have not been there for several years. We checked in site unseen. The drapes, bed spreads, blankets and carpet were filthy. The bathroom was falling apart and in need of being updated. The toilet seat was falling off and unuseable! We did call and they rebolt the same seat almost immediately. The repairman and staff were pleasant and that's the only thing good we can say about the place. We should not have stayed and should have gone elsewhere, but we toughed it out. Thankgoodness the sheets were clean and we found no signs of bedbugs, which concerned us! We will never recommend this Motel 6 or for that matter we will never stay in a Motel 6 again!

My wife and I had a certificate for a free night, from a different Motel 6, which we used for a 1 night stay at this location, on the way to Nashville, TN.
The location is great. Very easy on and off I-65, and LOTS of restaurants and shopping in the area.
There is an outdoor pool, which due to the hot, humid weather was put to good use by some of the other guests. The staff, while not looking all that professional, were nice and helpful.
The room was small, 1 queen size bed, and a bathroom with a STAND ALONE SHOWER. Keep this in mind if traveling with young kids who may take baths over showers.
We went out during the day and came back that night to find some "shady" folks strolling the parking lot. We found one of the last parking spots up near the lobby and the main road, which also happened to be under a light from the gas station next door. I didn't want to park the car so far away from our room in the back of hotel, but we didn't have much choice of spots and I wanted it in a well lit area.
After all was said and done, we didn't have any issues. Slept quietly all night, no smells, sounds, or leaks. Our car was in one piece the next morning, and we promptly left for Nashville. But, really, there are plenty of other hotel choices in the area that I would check with before staying here again, if I had to pay.

We got there and paid for the room....unloaded the van....got into the room and the first thing we noticed was that it smelled like smoke and mold. We decided to give it a try as we are smokers and that didn't really bother us that much. We were there about 10 minutes, it was late so we started turning down the bed. While turning the covers down we noticed BLOOD on the bedspread. Upon further inspection we found a white stain on the blanket ( I don't even want to think about what THAT was!! ) I don't know about the bathroom because I never made it that far. I called the front desk and asked if they would come and change the bed because we wanted to stay close to the group we came with. They offered us another room. We discussed this for a few minutes and discussed it with the other people we were with and we all decided to get a refund and go elsewhere. They gave us our money back with no problem. We just had to fill out the questionare and trust me it wasn't good. We went to the Comfort Inn just down the street and paid $40 more and got an excellent room. We explained to them what had happened to us at Motel 6 so they were VERY curtious and understanding and treated us with much respect. I would not recommend the Motel 6 to ANYONE!!! It's not fit for animals to stay in much less a family with small children.

We stayed at this Motel 6 on our way from Michigan to Alabama. We had limited options because we were traveling with two small dogs.

The price was affordable, but we had a terrible experience. Upon checking in, they never asked us if we wanted 2 beds or 1 (we got 2 double beds). Also, we requested a non-smoking room, but the room we were in smelled smoky and had an ash tray on the bedside table. We asked about an internet connection (WiFi was advertised on a large banner outside) and we were informed that it was available for $3.50 in some rooms, not ours. We got very little sleep as you could easily hear the conversations for other visitors on either side of us, above us, and outside. We decided not to take a shower until we got home because the bathroom looked very suspect.

Pros: Pets accepted, cheap, vacancy available, and convenient location.

Cons: Paper thin walls, non-smoking rooms smelled like smoking rooms, not very clean, awkward parking lot, no alarm clock, poor customer service, and internet not available in all rooms.

Overall, I would not recommend this motel, nor would I stay there again.
