The room was pretty shabby and you could smell the mold from the air unit. The carpet had not been vacuumed as there was fluff visible in many places. The sheets were clean. There was dust on the surfaces of the furniture. The TV worked and there was a remote. We had a working refrigerator which hummed a bit.
The bathroom tub had a dirty look and was slick from mold when it had water run in it. The tub was slow to drain and the sink backs up. The toilet flushes, so that was a plus. Bathroom lights emit a buzz as they are fluorescent and in need of service.
The complimentary breakfast consisted of watered down coffee, stale cereal, and a plastic wrapped loaf of bread. There was a toaster for the bread. The milk was fresh and cold. There was warm butter which I was a bit afraid of as I did not know how long it had been out. A little searching revealed some bowls and plastic spoons for the cereal. The Raisin Bran cereal is more like Raisin Bran Surprise. It looked like a couple of cereals were left in the container. Watch out!
All in all, this is not up to snuff for a Days Inn. The room was priced at $69 and when we asked about discounts with our AAA card we were told it was already discounted.
There is a definite problem with communication.Their English is not good and they mumble a lot. Now, people who are learning English, that is OK. If you have a problem, however, don't expect it to be easily resolved. Every time I tried, the clerk just stood there. Thumbs down for the inaction.
When traveling to Berea, KY we will choose a different option than this Days Inn.
