I took three of my grandson's friends here to celebrate his birthday. Being winter, swimming was a welcome treat. The boys were very excited as they entered the pool area. There were already several children playing in the pool. They were laughing and jumping as one would expect. The boys that were with me began to get in the pool when the man that checked us in entered the pool area started SCREAMING at everyone! He yelled, "Be quiet or get out!". I was so shocked I just stood there. Two of the boys started crying. This upset all three families who were in this area. This was unbelievable behavior. Not only was it rude, it was absolutely uncalled for. The comments were directed at the young boys I had with me. They were not being loud. The patents of the other children told him this and he shouted at them!

We checked in and the desk person was welll...just nice....
We went to our room, the pics you see on here do not show the stained walls, peeling wall paper, rust (everywhere there is metal), stained chairs, etc.
The service, wellllll, rude, rude, rude, this hotel is ran by Iraqis, and not nice ones, they didnt want to give us anymore than 3 towels for our entire stay, including for the pool (as there were no towels in the pool area upon any of our three trips to the pool, they watch you get breakfast each morning, monitoring what you get and if you eat it there at thier breakfast area or take it back to your room...
You are expected to check out and be off of thier property within 10 minutes of your check out timI replied I was told "It's check out time for you", I had only returned because I had forgotten my watch in the pool area I had already vacated the actual hotel room itself at 10:45...
I would DEFINITELY pay the $20 extra and stay at the Hampton Inn just down the road from this Comfort Inn...there is a reason this hotel is cheaper...I traveled with my spouse and 2 small children and have NEVER been treated this unprefesssionally!
Avoid at ALL costs!

We have stayed at this property numerous times while visiting family in Bardstown. The Comfort Inn is always $15-20 a night cheaper than the Hampton Inn that is located right behind it and offers the same level of hotel stay. The staff is always friendly and our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The manager himself seems to be right there to offer to make your waffles for you in the morning or stocking the pool area with plenty of clean towels. With the wooden staircase the hotel has a bit of an older feel to it which adds a little bit of charm. The last time we stayed here we didn't request a first floor room and acutally were being put into a room on the second floor. When the front desk staff saw my wife come in with her bag and our 2 kids they immediately offered a room on the first floor to us.

I stayed in this hotel while visiting kentucky. Usually I have a nice visit at any Comfort Inn but this was not one of them!! I did not write this review until my complaints went unheard so here it goes... I requested a non-smoking room and this was not one of them. I tried to call the front desk to cpmplain and no answer. I walked down to the desk on three differnt times and no one there! The room was a ground floor with a window that a five year old could open from the outside. I contacted comfort inn and they said sorry but this location was owned by a private person. I did hear from that person about my compaint and basically he said that I should have tried harder to contact them. Come on!! Trust me there are many other hotels to stay at in this town...GO THERE!!
