Stayed here while driving through Wichita. Every person at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, a real "small town" feeling. I marked it down because our non-smoking room was quite smoky smelling. By the time it sunk in, we were too exhausted from driving to change rooms, although I know that they would have been extremely accommodating.

This is one of those extended stay places, with a fully functioning and stocked kitchenette. There was even a DVD/VHS player in the room with a good library of DVD's for free use at the front desk. Room was much bigger than a normal motel room due to the kitchenette. We only had one bed though.

Laundry basket and facilities available, a fully equipped fitness room adjacent to the kitchen which is available for guests's use. There is no free breakfast, however there is a myriad of items available for purchase at reasonable prices through the honor system in the kitchen.

Outside covered barbeque area available between parking and the building.

Convenient to Target, across the street from Wal-Mart, and near several mediocre restaurants. Easy access to Interstate 40.

My co-worker and I did some research and found that this hotel would be offered to us at a reasonable rate (we're here for 6 months) and it's right off the interstate. We reserved Suites but when we got there they put us in Studios and told us that there was nothing else available. I asked for a non-smoking room, but it clearly wasn't always a non-smoking room or people just don't follow the rules because it smelled like walking into a bar. I ended up having to buy Febreeze and Glade Plug Ins to attempt to mask the smell, which it did not do. Needless to say we left after a couple of nights to another hotel with better (existing) amenities, that's closer to work and civilization. Oh, and when I checked out they told me that I wouldn't be charged an additional rate since our rate was for an extended stay, but I definitely did. Thanks.

Room was fine. No breakfast, No high speed internet, No whirlpool/pool, you have to buy all the extras after an expensive rate, hard to find, not coming here again

I have stayed at this Candlewood plenty of times since it is my company's corporate hotel in Wichita and it is close to our office. That being said the location is a bit hard to find as it is off Highway 54 (West Kellogg) right East of the Walmart Supercenter. You can barely see it from the highway but if you can find the Walmart you will find the Candlewood Suites.

Once here the front desk experience is about average and the rooms are all suites with pretty much a full kitchen with stove top, microwave and refrigerators. Since this is extended stay there is no daily service of your room so just like at home you have to make your bed and tidy up after yourself since there is no daily maid service. The hotel does have a small fitness area along with a pantry that you can buy food and drink and toiletry items at reasonable prices but if you still want a better deal go across the street to the 24 hour Walmart and do your shopping. The front desk does have videos and DVDs that you can check out for free and the rooms have the proper video/DVD players so that is kind of nice.

I didn't see any pool but there is a nice little gazebo just to the south of the hotel if you want to go out and enjoy some of the outside. Only real complaint here is that since it is close to the airport the hotel property does experience some airplane noise but you are far enough away from the highway that that noise isn't a problem.

I don't know if I would pay $120 a night for a room here but my company's rate is much lower (around $80) so that is a pretty good value.
