I recently stayed at the Hampton East in Wichita and enjoyed every minute of the stay. The grounds and lobby were immaculately clean and the lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. The room and bathroom were equally clean and bright.
We used the indoor swimming pool and the water was about as clear as any hotel pool that I have ever used. It was obvious that their pool care is much more extensive than most. Later in the evening, we got together as a group in the lobby and socialized. This was fine with the staff and was actually preferred so as to not disturb any of the other guests. When we decided to head back to our rooms and began to clean up our mess, the desk attendant told us to leave the cleaning up to the staff. We were surprised and appreciative.
The breakfast which is was served in the lobby the following morning was impeccable. There were plenty of choices of good things to eat and the eggs, sausage, and French toast sticks were expertly prepared. Mixed fruit, bagels, cereal, waffles, and Krispy Kreme donuts were also available.
One of the best features of the hotel was that check-out time is at noon, so there was no concern about rushing around in the morning to get checked out in time.
The only "down side" to the entire experience is that the hotel is behind other buildings and is not readily visible from the road. It is easy to find if you know where to turn, but the location could pose some slight problems if you are unfamiliar with Wichita and are looking for it at night. The hotel is just off of Kellogg which is the main thoroughfare for Wichita. It is located very close to the Kellogg Ave. Turnpike exit and to shopping and dining establishments.

We reserved the last nonsmoking king room. Checked in. The hallway stank of smoke. Our room was a double and reeked of smoke. Went to change rooms. Got the room right next to our original room. It stank and had an ashtray. The receptionist argued with us saying that was a nonsmoking room. We left. Stay at this hotel only if you are heavy smoker since they apparently have smoking rooms on all floors.

Stayed here with 2 rooms 2 July. Well maintained, excellent rooms and service. One of the best breakfast selections in any Hampton Inn that I have stayed. Excellent wi-fi. Did not use pool but it looked very inviting. There are several other hotels adjacent, but I did not see any restaurants near, however there were several with a mile or so from the hotel. This is a business area, but the hotel is excellent.

We always enjoy staying here. The room is well decorated and clean. The breakfast area is always immaculate. Hot items are always hot. All the staff is courteous and efficient in their dealings with the public. Highly recommend this Hampton Inn!
