We called at the last minute (10pm) during a road trip as we were looking for a place for the night. The front desk was very helpful with directions (we had to call twice). We didn't know the city and the Hampton sits in the middle of a cluster of hotels. Comfortable beds, clean, nice breakfast. Front desk also helped us find local restaurants; they were all very nice. I'd certainly stay there again.

Currently on a roadtrip- this was a great stop! There's not much around there to do though, so be warned. The property is old, so it does have some nicks and scratches here and there, but not much. Pool is ice cold, but the hottub is nice. Good complementary breakfast and good staff. The rooms need an update, but they're not dirty or anything. Great TV and free high speed internet. Microwave and Fridge in room. Pull out couch bed is comfortable, but then again, I don't care what I sleep on.
Overall, good inn.

The staff at this hotel was pleasant and very helpful. The rooms are a little aged. Room and bathroom were both clean. The darn drain the in shower was slow and I hate it when that happens. That's a pet peeve of mine.

You can always tell a hotels age and maintenance level by taking a shower. Are you standing in 2 feet of water cause non of the drains work?
The East location is the ugly step son of the other 2 Hamptons but completely out does them both on keeping a hotel running problem free. The location is a old one, but the rooms A/C units have been updated, flat screen tv's, beautiful hilton beds, and most importantly clog free drains.
East is still my choice of accomendations in Wichita.
