“the best thing: it's downtown....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I've been to Wichita several times now - and still have to travel there for a few more times. Found this Hotel during one of my stays when going into the bars and restaurants downtown. The rooms are very nice - queen size beds, which are for me as European big enough, shower, TV, fridge, cooking spot - everything very useful. The rooms are clean and as I wrote above: the best thing is that the hotel is located downtown. So whenever you go to a bar you don't have to drink and drive - just go a few steps and you are in the room. The price is good, the only bad thing is the breakfast. Don't expect too much on that. Small choice of food but anyway it tastes good and the prepare it nice. The Hotel is 100% smoke free and equipped with free Wifi - and I hadn't had a room where it was not working.....

“Excellent hotel always”

I very rarely write a review, but all my stays @ the Hotel At Old Town over the last year have been so splendid that I would like to share.

Rooms always clean with excellent high ceilings. I am convinced the beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. Wireless works well. Hotel is amazingly quiet, which is a plus as well. Rates are competitive with Courtyard, Hilton etc. But this hotel has a unique flavor that none of the chains can match.

The building itself is a renovated warehouse / manufacturing plant from the early 1900's. The furnishings are classical both in the lobby and in the rooms as opposed to the faux chic you find in the chains. Rooms very well apportioned.

My stay this time had me in a smaller room with only a shower stall, which I didn't realize this hotel had. My preference is a whole tub, but this is a nothing issue at this hotel.

Front desk staff are very friendly, place is within walking distance of some nicer restaurants in the area. Parking is free and one minute away from front desk.

I really like this place. It is one of the few nice things I find in Wichita, which really is a dismal city otherwise.

“Perfect Spot for Clubbing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We spent New Years eve 2011 & as well came another time back in October 2011. It was a group of 5 of us and we had a blast.

The hotel was very upscale, clean, modern. The rooms were equiped with everything you need. & if you forgot an item, theres a lil store inside the hotel for any last minute items.

It is the perfect spot for club hopping & not having to worry about driving anywhere. The hotel is in the center of all the clubs, so it was a very convienent 'drunk walk' location. If your in the area, I recommend Club Liquid- hiphop/r&b/ 21+ club, with the best 'Pineapple Upside Down Cake Drinks' ever.

“A step back in time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

So charming! This hotel really carries the historic theme throughout, even down to the 20's music playing in the lobby. My room was awesome, with beautiful decor and high ceilings. My only complaint was that I had trouble regulating the temperature. And don't go there hungry--there is no room service. The two restaurants that we called for delivery did not answer the phone. Fortunately River City is a few steps away so we were able to get take out. Despite that, I would stay here again.
