My sister and I visited family in Wichita the first weekend of February. We didn't arrive until very late. But the front desk girl Susie was friendly and welcoming and you don't normally find that in people who work nights at hotels.
We had trouble with the air conditioning in our first room and there wasn't any maintenance man, but Susie came up and helped move our bags to a new room close by. After we were all settled in the new room, I found the remote control to the television needed replaced. I called Susie and she came right up with new batteries for the remote.
About ten minutes later, I realized we had left our bottled waters at the desk, so I called to ask if they were still there, and not only did Susie bring the waters up, but she also brought a carton of milk for my three year old. We felt horrible making her run back and forth, but she did it all with a smile!
The room was nice, the breakfast was plenty and had hot fresh pancakes my daughter loved! But the real treat was knowing that if we had any problems, Susie and the rest of the staff were happy to help, and that makes all the difference. We have stayed here before, and we will stay here again when we come to Wichita.
