Motel is older, rooms are definitely small, we had 2 doubles in the room for 2 adults and a 16 year old son who is adult sized...that along with a table, a dresser, the TV on the dresser and a stand alone closet made for a very tight fit, I couldnt imagine a fourth person in the room, you would be literally crawling over each other or flat out leaving the room to get around. Other than room size it was otherwise clean and adequate for the 45 dollar price point.
The bathroom is divided by a door with bathtub/shower and commode with sink and mirrror on other side so a second person can get ready while the other is bathing. The smallish bathtub appeared to be new and remodeled...no complaints other than this area is also very tight, you literally have to stand on/around toilet or get in the tub to close the door. Otherwise water was fine, towels were clean and overall was clean..just tight space.
Room also has a frdge which is a plus, although electric plugs are at a premium and the fridge operates by a cleverly run extension cord running off the bathroom plug which is also a GFC plug. I mention the GFCC because the circuit did pop sometime int the night and wound up cutting electricty to the fridge and also my cell phone uncharged until i noticed what happened the next day. Since this is the plug where you would use to blow dry, electric shave and such and only one plug to do this from in the bathroom sink area this is a hassle. Also this space with the sink and frdge isa lso very tight and is also where you parked the suitcases from before, so lots of tripping over one another.
The rest of the motel is on the small side (motel had to have been built in the 50's or 60's) and reasonably clean with all doors inside and little front area where the agent is and coffee...I dont think they offer continental breakfast anymore at least I didnt see any and was wanting to get back on the road. Wireless worked fiine and vending machines and washer/dryer seemed to work fine. Also it is reasonably close to some restaraunts and grocery store on the other side or down the road on Kellogg Road.
The gentleman who checked me out was an older guy with long hair (think he was management) was happy that I found the place adequate and gave me the biggest thumbs up I have seen in quite sometime. Kudo's to that for it made me smile because he looked so goofy and made the day more pleasant.
So, bottom line if you are one person, traveling overnight to Wichita, need only a bed, wireless and a bath/shower this is fine, otherwise more than 2 of you in the room and it will be a tight fit.
