This Residence Inn like most of the newer ones is ideal for business travel. I had a good size room with full size fridge. The desk is good sized and located in a position where you can watch a little tv while working. Breakfast was good and fresh every morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is unfortunate enough to have to go to Wichita.

First I wanna say that I have been travelling to hotels for nearly a year while my husband works and we stayed here 2 weeks, so I feel I can give an non-biased review. I have been to other Residence Inns without problem. This one however, was not great. Let's start with the *few* good things... room size and the pool was warm. That's it! Now the bad.... pillows suck, maids don't understand English, one day the maid didn't even come to clean the room!, toilet kept clogging, food is yucky and always seemed gone(kitchen worker gave me kinda snidy attitude when I asked her for something). And the number one thing was the THIN WALLS! We had our kids with and got called 3 nights in a row from the room below us to keep quiet. Kids weren't even being noisy! In fact, he 3rd night they were sitting on the bed reading stories and I was cooking. Could hear neighbors room cell phone ringing (my husband kept thinking it was his(that's how loud it was!)) and the last night their alarm went off non-stop. My husband did call front desk who I CLEARY heard call the room, but no answer and alarm kept going off at random all night. Never would recommend this hotel to anyone! Definitely stay at the Hilton on the Waterfront and even though you pay a little more, the difference is night and day!

I got this hotel at a military rate of just over 60 dollars per night but I easily would've spent a hundred per night because of the large rooms, great service, and amazing location. You are within walking distance of a fairly well sized shopping center and a short drive away from Wichita's downtown. When I arrived, the front desk was not staffed and it took about a minute for whoever checked me in to appear at the front desk. Also, the hot water ran out really fast; there wasn't enough for me and my family to take showers for more than a few minutes in the morning or we would run out of hot water. Other than those two things, however, my experience was great, especially for the price.

i have stayed here several times. it appears to be fairly new. i travel frequently. this place is 1 of the best hotels i can recall. the last place i stayed at was the hyatt in wichita, which was very plush and well kept; however, the room was lacking and several services cost additional.
back to the residence in...the service is always extremely courteous and helpful. the lobby is fairly plush and well kept. there are an assortment of beverages (including beer), frozen dinners, snacks, and condiments near the lobby available at a moderate price.
they provide a complete complimentary breakfast AND DINNER (including beverages [including beer]) every single day. there is a self-service laundry room that costs less than $3/load.
the rooms provide a full sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher, nook, kitchenware, cooking utensils, couch, chair, desk, mirror/sink exterior to the toilet & shower and are extremely clean and well kept. recently, they had the tube TV replaced with a ~40" panel TV in each of the rooms. HBO. rooms are quiet.
the exercise room has 2 new life fitness treadmills, which each have tv panels on them which you can plug your headphones into, and some free weights. also, there is a pool, hot tub, and 1/4 size basketball court outside.
in the area, there's several restaurants, a movie theater, and a bar. the mall (dillards, jc penney, etc.) is ~10 minutes away and the AF base is ~15 minutes away.
