The previous review of this hotel (dated 2/24/11) stated the business center didn't have a computer (or a printer). As of 3/10/11 that is still the case; front desk staff said the last system went "kaput" and they were getting a replacement - but how long does it take to get a new computer? It would seem to be more than the meets the eye. Also, the wi-fi wasn't working the night I stayed. I had a top (4th) floor room and neither network was working. I got the Carlos O'Kelly's signal across the street faintly, but it faded out after about 20 minutes. So, business travelers might want to keep this in mind.

Otherwise, this is a new Comfort Suites - very modern decor, extremely comfortable bed, nice lobby and two minutes to the Mid-Continent Airport. Comfort Suites has built a number of new properties in Kansas and this is one of them. If it weren't for the wi-fi and business center issues, I would give this a 5-star rating.

We booked after looking at this hotel's 5, excellent rating. Two things we were looking for besides a bed,was a business center and exercise room After arriving we discovered that there was not a business center. Everything was missing-"out for repairs". The exercise room heat/air did not work. The night time temperature that night was -16 below. Yes, heat was needed even if you worked out.
At 3am, a fire alarm was set off by a guest-no fire. The alarm continued to go off every few minutes for 20 minutes. Although the hotel could not control the first alarm we wondered why they couldn't get it disarmed after the first attempt. (Lack of staff training?????) We received an apology email about the inconvenience a few days later.

Without considering the alarm incident, we would still rate this hotel extremely overpriced because even though advertised, there really "was not" a usable business center or exercise room.

My husband and two children and I stayed at this hotel for one night on an impromptu trip to Wichita. The lobby was very clean, neat and nicely decorated. We had a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was very comfortable and had a stylish decor. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of linens. The pool was small but heated with a hot tub and a small sauna. It was very relaxing! Breakfast was tasty with everything from pastries, waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and toast. They had a person staffing the breakfast area and he kept it clean and well stocked. The best thing about this hotel happened after we left. I accidentally left my makeup bag on the bed. I didn't notice I had left it until the next morning. I called the hotel and they had found it and said they would mail it to me. I offered to pay for the postage but they said it wasn't necessary. I received my package about 5 days later with everything inside- including the money I had stashed in a little pocket. I am so grateful and thankful for honest people. When we return to Wichita, you can bet we have our hotel already picked out. I believe we paid about 76.00 for one night as a choice hotels reward member. It was worth every penny!

My wife and I flew from California to Wichita for a family emergency and a friend recommended the Comfort Suites. I am so glad they did. Clean, quiet, and accomodating just begin to describe this fantastic location. We were there during a severe snowstorm and went out to the car, which was covered with ice and snow. An employee (don't know his name), came out to my car in the snow and cold and handed me an ice scraper for my windshield, telling me to keep it, courtesy of Comfort Suites. There is no better service than that. Breakfast was better than expected, rooms were clean, hotel looks like new. My kudos to Aaron Herd, General Manager, for managing such a nice hotel with a very friendly staff. I will always stay here in the future when visiting Wichita.
