Our group of friends visited Wamego to attend a production at the Columbian Theatre. We found the Wamego Inn & Suites very clean and comfortable and we appreciated the friendly front desk staff.

Stayed here on a monday night and they had free burgers out by the pool. I really enjoyed visiting and relaxing out by the pool. When my computer went dead and I forgot to pack my power cord, they had a computer and printer in the lobby that I used to e-mail and print my boarding pass. Staff was great and room was neat and clean with a fridge and microwave. Bed was great! (I was a little worried after reading one of the reviews here.) Lots of choices for breakfast with coffee in both the room and at the breakfast bar. I would highly recomend this hotel. A definate step above what I expected in a small town.

if you have to go to Wamego, this is pretty much the only game in town. The rooms are large and clean. The door to the bathroom is strangely labled "rest room" (what else would it be?) They also offer a microwave and refrigerator in your room which is extremely convenient because there is a supermarket across the street.

The hotel seems to be staffed exclusively by 19 year girls with varying levels of competence. You have to call and ask for an ironing board and iron (which they will forget to bring you) and you have to hope they remember to turn on the waffle maker.
For me, breakfast was disappointing. Your choices are limited to starch, sugar and lard.
No fruit, no protein. The biscuits and gravy was inedible. But then other folks seemed to like this just fine.

They don't have a real website, you have to call to make reservations and they don't send a confirmation letter. But all in all, this was a reasonable hotel.

Read and heed. Great lumpy beds that should have been replaced years ago, not working wireless internet except in the lobby, so much for privacy. pool was good for the eye but not built for swimming. This property is a former Super 8, so if you are a fan of Sper 8 expect a Super 8 hotel if you book here. Breakfast was good, better than expected. No truck parking, ther is a parking lot, but very small. Front desk is closed from 11 pm to 7 am and if you call the night desk person she will show up in her underwear (not petty). Was told Monday the owner grills hot dogs and burgers, small consolation. Our people won't be back here, going across the street next time, you should too. Thanks
