This is my third cross-country trip this year, so we have stayed at a lot of hotels this year. This was probably the cheapest rate yet! It was only 65 + tax for 2 adults and a child. It wasn't anything fancy, but the room was decent size, and very clean. The night and then morning staff (weekend) are very young, and seem a little inexperienced, but friendly.
My complaints are small: The pool was outside, and thus unuseable this time a year. They said we could use the outside hottub, but that seemed like a quick way to getting sick. The breakfast was okay. They have waffles, biscuits and gravy, prepacked cereal, cups of fruit and doughnuts. The cereal seemed hard and old. Sunday morning must be the second day on doughnuts because they were literally crumbling apart when my son tried to eat them.
The town is very small, and limited. This is one of only two hotels, but from what I could see of the other, this hotel was definitely the better of the two.
If I ever came back to Wamego (which is doubtful, because of nothing to do), I would stay at this hotel again. It went pretty smooth!
