I've stayed here three times in the past three years, and each visit has been a pleasant one -- very quiet, comfortable bed and room, and pleasant service from the front desk. The breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast, which to be frank, is not very good, but I guess you get what you pay for. The complimentary in-room wireless internet was a standard speed, but certainly functional. Check out the "State Government" rates online.
We've used this hotel a few times when I visit my medical doctor at KU Medical Center and rec'd a discount when we mentioned KU Med.
The evening hostess seemed just plain tired.
The breakfast hostess was quite friendly.
The room and bed were comfortable.
There's a movie theater, an It. restaurant, Mexican restaurant and another restaurant in the parking lot. We have eaten at the Italian restaurant which was quite good probably about $15.00 and up for price. The Mexican restaurant was okay and was about $10.00.

The people in our company spend a lot of nights in this hotel because it was located close to our offices in this area and some of our executive's homes making for an easy dinner or morning meeting away from the office. Our office has since moved but many of us still stay here because it's quiet, has 3 good food selections nearby and is reasonable compared to more convienient properties. I think I had 30 nights in this hotel last year and only had two minor complaints - whirlpool wasn't working one time and treadmill incline was broken. Both issues were resolved by the time my next stay occured. Managment at all hours is friendly and helpful.

I got a great rate at this property and decided to stay here, though it was a bit out of the way (located on the far west side of KC). What it lacked in central locale it more than made up for in friendly staff, cleanliness, great breakfast, pool/spa and a nice, new exercise room. One more thing I really liked is that the housekeeping staff took the time to close the curtains to this room (it faced west and the sun really warms up the room quickly) and turn the A/C down to 68 so I arrived to a cool room. So many times, in the name of cost savings, I find that staff have turned off the climate control so I have to endure an either uncomfortable stuffy or really cold room before I can adjust it to my liking. I would stay here again, especially for $89!

Stayed here for one night on our way out west. Surprised to find a $69/n coupon in the state line welcome station mags. Usually Hampton Inn does not discount this way,
Hotel was good, above ave for Hampton, somewhat off I-40 and diff. to find, but had no major complaints.
Do not think it would be worth the regular price of $89-109n unless you are on an expense acct.
