This Motel 6 is about average for the chain. A little bit old and in need of maintenance in places, but overall not a bad experience. I stayed here 2 separate times this trip. On my first stay I arrived at 4 AM and the clerk immediately came to the late-night window and checked me in very quickly and friendly and I got a room on the first floor near the office. The sink was cracked but everything else was fine. The second stay I got a room near the office but on the second floor. In this room everything seemed slightly newer. Remember though: this is Motel 6, not the Holiday Inn. All you get is a bed, a bathroom, and a TV.

Room smelled, was unclean and there were many flies in it.

I picked this motel 6 since I just needed a place to sleep for one night and it was the cheapest in central Kansas with reasonable reviews and right off the interstate. The best thing was that the air conditioning was running in Room 119 when I checked in and the room was nice and cool, while it was 102 in the parking lot. The room was basic, but OK. There were bugs in the bathroom and on the carpet, probably from when the maid left the door open. There were no bugs in the bed. Rust stains on the toilet and tub, it was well worn. TV was small, but channels were plentiful and the picture was good. Lady at front desk was very nice, and even went by everyone’s room to make sure they got in OK. Lots of handicapped parking spots, more than are needed. Internet costs $3 and I didn’t try it. My room was $43.99 + 14.9% tax. For the money it was acceptable for one night while crossing Kansas.

The room was clean, the price was cheap. Bed was a bit firm for my liking, but I slept ok. Only major drawback in my opinion is it is entirely non smoking.
