Refurbished from several previous named hotels, quite down from its original incarnation in the 1960's. Lobby/breakfast room best feature but not breakfast. "Hot" is make your own waffles, the white bread and stale donuts--awful. Room didn't have phone or clock. TV without network channels. AC was loud and woke me up, then froze me. Workout room advertised but unavailable. Only vending was juice..and nothing close was open for more. Bedding old and worn (found stuff stuck to my sheets), towels threadbare, spiders in bathroom every day. Told I could enroll in their Econolodge program, then told I couldn't get credit for nights stayed. Had to prepay room at check-in--highly irregular!!!! Did they know their place was horrible? Spent as little time there as possible. Tried this out because of national branding and location in south part of town but won't go there again. Super 8--better value, Parkview Inn--former Holiday Inn-- is very nice.
