I had to stay in a motel after leaving a nursing home, I and my friends decided that I would go for staying there because it was clean and comfortable in Christmas and first weeks of January of 2011. The bugs rolled threw the room like it was open house and the management said that since the door was just out side so bugs will just roll in. There was a stinky dumpster just outside the door to go to the lobby and blocked the sidewalk. The food to the breakfast was old with the detritus in the cereal was icky. The juice was warm even at an early hour. The room was either hot or cold and had trouble controlling the controller and was very loud. The handicapped room was MOLDY and the special seat was dangerous. The owners were rude, rude and rude. The sheets and blankets felt dirty. The wi-fi did not extend all the way to the room I was in. The handicapped ramps were dangerous for those in wheelchairs. I complained loudly and they offered another room. The owner then told me to get the "hell" out and that they could not accept me. The owner also told me that he planned to keep ALL of the money for the week even though I had only been there for 3 days and made me pay for the day I was kicked out. Awful. The owner did tell me that since I was "crippled" he was going to just not make me pay the entire week that I paid for and he told me that I was causing him to lose money because he could get $150 a day for the weekend for the NASCAR races. They thought I was a lady of the night since my home is just across the state line but the only reason I went to the motel was because I could not use my leg and had to have a wheelchair acceptable room and my house has 10 steps to go up. Terrible. Told everyone I know NOT to go there. The door to the room as hard to get into and is NOT handicapped accessible by yourself.even though it was ground level the door would shut by itself and was hard to hold open to let the wheelchair in. The cleanliness sucked.
