This is the second time I've stayed at this Sheraton and I'll go back. It's new and I've gotten an upgraded corner room both times. Staff is friendly and personable going out of their way on at least one occasion to help me out.

My only gripe is that when room doors shut, they are incredibly loud. So when the housekeeping staff is going down the hall checking rooms in the morning, it sounds like a gattling gun.

The property is well organized and parking is convenient The hotel is also close to over a hundred restaurants (within 3 miles).

Meeting rooms great with plenty of coffee and tea.

I especially enjoy looking out the room window at sunset and seeing all the lights of Overland Park. Very beautiful!

Because of the outstanding customer service level by John Armstrong at the Sheraton Overland Park, I am now an EXCLUSIVE Sheraton customer!!!! I was traveling from NJ to my company's headquarters (SPRINT) and chose to stay at the Sheraton Overland Park. Upon my check in and unpacking in my amazing room, I realized that I had forgotten my cuff-links for my french-cuffed shirts. I called down to concierge and John answered. I explained my situation and asked if there was a gift shop or store nearby where i could pick up a pair of cuff-links. John asked me to stay in my room and 2 minutes later, he was at my door. HE WAS TAKING THE CUFF-LINKS OFF OF HIS OWN PERSON TO LOAN TO ME! I was floored! Never had I experienced such customer service. I told him I did not need them immediately, but would need at some point during the week. He told me he would have something for me the next day in the afternoon. Upon returning from my meetings the next day, there in my room were FOUR pair of cuff-links for me to choose, with a note stating, "Good afternoon Mr. Cruz...Hope some of these will be useful for you!! John Armstrong" His actions made my experience extraordinary and I felt I had to tell EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN! Stay at the Sheraton Overland Park and make sure you say hey to John! He is the MAN!!!

There are some properties that get four stars because they offer the right mix of amenities, even if service is poor/slow and the property is run down. I travel almost weekly and all too often run into these 'four star' hotels. I am very pleased to report the Sheraton Overland Park is a true (deserving) four star hotel.

The service is exemplary, the rooms spacious and well maintained. I can only offer a strong recommendation for this hotel.

Also, the hotel is VERY inexpensive. Rooms, meals and drinks were all way below what I would have expected to pay.

I booked this on Hotwire.com who listed it as a 4 star property.. We travel to this area frequently and i thought we would try a more upscale place..I have stayed at many hotels..and. I could have enjoyed the super 8 just as much. The bed was not comfortable..the sheets were way too starched.. And the bathtub was awful..very small with curved sides that make it unsafe...don't use hair conditioner or you might fall! No refrigerator...no microwave..and complimentary water...till you read the fine print on the back of the tag hanging on it..$2! Walls are thin..as i heard a dog barking during the night..yes, they allow dogs to stay there. Parking is not good...unless you pay for valet.. Lobby is noisy and crowded.. Pool looks nice. We won't stay here again as we can get much better amenities at the 3 star places..try the pear tree inn..they give you wine and breakfast!
