Hosts are fabulous and the rooms, although older, are clean. There is a section of rooms to the rear of the property that are especially quiet. Working in the area we tried several of the other hotels right off I-35 and found this to be not only the best value, but in the summer the A/C worked great (which wasn't the case with 2 of the others!) The owners have gone out of their way to accomodate our needs, which means alot in an age of chains staffed by indifferent desk clerks...we also appreciate being able to park right in front of the door to our room which makes it so much easier to load and unload luggage! Free wifi, fridge & microwave & pet friendly!

The hotel was clean and pleasant. A little outdated; however, the owners were very friendly and accommodating!

When we first drove up it looked nice, rooms appeared clean. Front desk people very nice. We were sitting in the room and a little bug went scurrying across one of the beds, scared our kids, a little while later another, so we checked under the beds for more bugs found none but very very dirty, then one came down the wall, found out the next morning they were cockroaches. After looking closer the room door was warped you could see light coming through the framing. They had breakfast available in the A.M., pull the jug of milk and juice out of the refrigerator and serve yourself, that is fine, but the jelly was old, one big glob wouldn't even spread on bagel. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. Would not recommend!

This was built in the time when motels put their swimming pools out front by the road to show off that they had one. This motel has been been taken care of and updated well. I had forgotten how pleasant it is to park right in front of my door and how this reduces the hallway noise because there is none. A great surprise during this record setting Kansas heat wave was that we were the boss of the air conditioner. It had real controls that responded to our changes which is becoming a thing of the past. Our room had a recliner chair and extra pillows on the bed. This is one of the cheaper places in Ottawa. We've tried the newer places out by the interstate that cost more but the Knights Inn beats them completely.
