I have stayed at the residence Inn in Olathe many times before, for business purposes, and I always come back to this hotel when in Kansas City.
Normally I am very satisfied but this time there were a few "minusses".
1. I had a room next to an extended stay family with dog(s). First night the dog was barking at the middle of the night formore than ½ hour! It became better though the following nights. The hotel was sold out so it was not possible to change my room.
2. The food (Breakfast and Managers Toast" has definitely been downgraded since my last visit. Old, dry bagels, fewer selections of dairy products, no scrambled eggs every day etc.
The Managers Toast in the afternoon on Tuesday and Wednesday was a joke: With the snack carrots totally grey (old) and bending, soft tortilla chips, beer in small glasses already filled (and loosing the carbonation) etc.
I have been to many other Residsence Inn hotels in e.g. Palo Alto, Ventura, Salinas etc. where the Managers Toast was really good.
I will probably come back due to the the pool and jacuzzi, the rooms and the location next to I-35.
But please return to normal standard on the food offerings.
